https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK57namo59A

For More Info visit us at: http://1aau.to/h/cPx/ Do you have a GM V8 engine that's starting to make that rattling, tapping, or clicking noise that tends to come from lifters that need help? If you're lucky, the lifters are just dirty, and haven't collapsed or failed yet, so you can try this easy fix! Andy shows you how to briefly run transmission fluid through your engine, which has additional detergents in it to help clean out places like the tight oil passages in Active Fuel Management lifters. This trick should help if the AFM lifters aren't damaged yet. If they are, you'll probably still need to replace them. Also, this trick doesn't work for bearing noise, and other engine problems. New Brakes but Pedal is Still Soft? Check Your Brake Lines for Rust or Damage!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvoWp84_IEs

For More Info visit us at: http://1aau.to/h/cM2/ Do you have a soft, squishy brake pedal? Maybe you even just replaced your brake pads and rotors thinking that would fix it, but it's still soft anyway? Most brake lines are steel, and they can rust over time, especially if they get dinged or dented by rocks and road debris. In this video, Len does a thorough inspection of brake lines, and notices and repairs some really bad rust. Because brake fluid is pressurized, any weakening of the lines can lead to a failure of the brakes. After discovering the excessive rust damage, Len replaces the brake lines, and then does a full bleed of the braking system. Finally, he tests the brakes and finds them working properly again! Check out this playlist for more great diagnostic videos!

Trailer Lights Not Working? How to Diagnose Trailer Wiring on Your Car or Truck!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxXgjYnWUOU

For More Info visit us at: http://1aau.to/h/cMX/ Did you recently connect a trailer to your car or truck, but the trailer lights don't seem to light up? There are several reasons why that might be! Trailer hitches should have a plug or wiring harness where you can connect the trailer, so that brake lights, reverse lights, and turn signals light up on the trailer at the same time as your vehicle. Depending on the configuration of your vehicle and trailer, there are many possible points of failure. In this video, Andy guides you through a step by step diagnosis of the trailer wiring. In our case, the problem was missing fuses and relays. It's also possible that corroded conductors at the plug, or corroded or broken wiring could also be a problem. The best way to find out is a step by step methodical diagnostic process! For more great diagnostics that you can do yourself in your own driveway, check this playlist:

Gas Pump Keeps Stopping When You Fill Up? Diagnosing Fuel Tank and EVAP Blockages!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bez-8iOUPPk

For More Info visit us at: http://1aau.to/h/cK7/ Does the gas pump keep stopping over and over while you're trying to fill up? You know it's not full, so what else could it be? In this video, Andy diagnoses this very problem, and explains how the charcoal filter canister that is part of your car or truck's EVAP system could actually be responsible. Since the fuel tank is a sealed container, when you add more gas, air is pushed out. If the air has nowhere to go, the increase in pressure triggers the safety stop on the fuel pump! Watch this video to see Andy demonstrate how a blocked charcoal canister can cause this problem! For more great diagnostic videos, check out this playlist:

What’s That Squealing? #shorts

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlqJWXqdanI

For More Info visit us at: http://1aau.to/h/cLA/ Squealing noise from under the hood could be a few different things, but it's probably got something to do with the serpentine belt! A loose, worn, or age hardened belt is prone to slip, and that can make a chirping squealing noise. Belt pulleys with bad bearings can grind, chirp or squeal. Worst of all, if a stuck frozen seized pulley can't turn, the belt slips over it, making lots of nose, and also heating and wearing out the belt, which will break it sooner than later! In this short, Sue points out the problem behind our squealing noise!

Smoke? Hot Smell from Wheels? Check Your Brakes! Diagnosing Seized Brake Calipers

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEk1Kte4yCM

For More Info visit us at: http://1aau.to/h/cKU/ Do you see smoke, smell a hot or burning smell coming from your wheels? Can you feel heat radiating off your brake rotors? The problem is likely a seized brake caliper! When brake calipers stick, or seize up, the brake pads remain in contact with the brake rotor while your drive, which creates lots of friction and head. It's basically like driving around with your foot on the brake pedal the whole time! In this video, hot smelly brakes lead Andy to diagnose the brake caliper, where he discovers rusted slider pins. The slider pins need to move in and out freely. If they get stuck, the brake caliper can remain clamped down on the brake rotor, which in turn heat up the brakes excessively. Andy points out the problem, shows you how you might be able to unstick and repair the rusted sliders, but ultimately replaces the caliper entirely, which is the safest option.
