Porsche & Audi v USA’s Secret Weapon: DRAG RACE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOX0KKHrmDc

What’s quicker – a lightweight sports car or a HUGE American pick-up? Well, it’s time to find out! We’ve got our hands on an Audi TTS and a Porsche 718 Cayman, and they’re about to go head-to-head against the absolutely massive Hennessey Mammoth! Let’s see how they compare. Starting with the Audi, it’s powered by a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo that can deliver 320hp and 400Nm of torque. It powers all four wheels and it tips the scales at 1,420kg. Then we have the Porsche. It’s also packing a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo, however, it only powers the rear wheels, and can only produce 300hp and 380Nm. It’s lighter than the Audi, though, weighing in at 1,365kg. Then we have the Mammoth! For starters, it costs more than both the other cars combined – £122,000, compared to £47,000 each for either the Audi or the Porsche. It can also produce SO much more power than the other competitors, with its 6.2-litre supercharged V8 able to produce 1026kg and 1,314Nm! So what do you think – can a big American pickup show these German sports cars how it’s done? There’s only one way to find out – LET’S RACE! This is the most luxurious car EVER!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Qkvz7SQSCM

This is the all-new Rolls-Royce Spectre! Based on the looks, you’d be forgiven for thinking this is a replacement for the Rolls-Royce Wraith coupe. You see, the V12 engine is GONE, and it’s been replaced with two electric motors! That’s right, this is the first Rolls-Royce production EV! So let’s take a closer look at it. For starters, it’s big… VERY big! At over 5.5 metres long and over 2 metres wide, this is officially the largest Rolls-Royce ever created! But that’s not all, the huge backlit grille is also the largest fitted to any Rolls-Royce. It’ll come as no surprise that the interior is super luxurious. However, unlike other manufacturers that have used a new EV to try out a whole load of new tech and style (We’re looking at you, BMW iX…), Rolls-Royce has kept the interior of the Spectre very similar to its petrol-powered compatriots. It comes with the same air vents, physical controls and central touch screen as in the Ghost! Of course, there are a couple of differences, such as the ability to extend the starlight headlining down to the side of the doors. In terms of performance, of course, we’re sad to see the loss of the glorious V12! However, it’s not all that bad. The Spectre comes with two electric motors that combine to produce 585hp and 900Nm! These help it sprint to 60mph in just 4.5 seconds – that’s quicker than the new BMW i7! All-in-all, this Rolls-Royce will cost you at least £300,000. So is it worth it?! You’ll need to stick with Mat to see for yourself! Chapters

New Honda Civic v Toyota Corolla v Kia Ceed

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MwCGxQPaoc

Are you looking for an all-new family hatchback? Well don’t just automatically go for a VW or Ford – we’ve got our hands on three other options that may be a better choice for you! Right here we’ve got the new Toyota Corolla, the Kia Ceed and the Honda Civic, and we’re about to find out just how good these Far East exports are. When it comes to looks, it’s fair to say the Civic is the stand-out contender here. It’s evolved a fair bit from the previous model and it’s fair to say it’s looking better than ever! That’s not to say the Kia or Toyota look bad, but we think the Civic stands out here. On the inside, both Honda and Toyota have pushed on from their previous editions, with good quality materials throughout the cabin and more modern looks. Unfortunately, the Kia looks pretty similar to the old model, although it’s definitely not the worst interior we’ve seen! In terms of engine choices, there’s not too much to choose from. The Kia comes with only one choice, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol that drives the front wheels and puts down 160hp. Both the Toyota & Honda are hybrids, with the former coming with a choice of either a 1.8-litre or 2-litre petrol engine that can deliver 120hp and 181hp respectively. As for the Honda, it comes with a 2-litre petrol that powers the electric motor, which can put down 184hp. So which of these is right for you? You’ll need to stick with Mat in this all-new group test to find out! Chapters

Mat’s managed to get his hands on the all-new Mercedes EQE SUV! That’s right, the EQS SUV’s baby brother is finally here, and we’ve got access to the hot AMG version. In this video, Mat’s going to find out if this car has what it takes to compete with the BMW iX. This new car may look an awful lot like the EQS SUV, however there are some differences which mark it out. The EQE SUV is smaller and more boxy looking, and it’s got a sporty edge over its larger stablemate. It looks smart, if a bit nondescript. The AMG model gets some tasty upgrades to help combat this, including a deeper front bumper with additional spoilers, as well as 21-inch wheels as standard. Things get a lot more exciting when you step inside, with the Mercedes Hyperscreen dominating the cabin. This optional setup includes a 12.3-inch drivers display, a huge 17.7-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch passenger display. The AMG version also gets unique graphics for the infotainment, as well as body-hugging sports seats. Standard versions of the EQE SUV are available with either rear or all-wheel-drive and up to 550km of range Mercedes hasn’t announced power figures for this car yet, however you can expect them to be similar to the EQE saloon. The AMG version gets all-wheel-drive as standard, and up to a whopping 677hp. Prices for the new EQE SUV haven’t been announced yet, however you can expect it to cost around £10,000 more than the EQE saloon. Question is, which would you have? Stick with Mat to find out all you need to know about this car. …………………………………………………….
