TG2: Cars and Stripes | OFFICIAL TRAILER

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CzZdZoLbmY

Top Gear is coming to America! Well, technically, we’ve already been… to film a new YouTube series called TG2: Cars and Stripes, coming to your screens THIS Sunday 19 Nov. The premise is simple: two British blokes – Jack Rix (TG magazine’s editor-in-chief) and Jethro Bovingdon (renowned car journalist and presenter of Top Gear America) – driving American cars… in, er, America. Prepare for highs and lows, EVs and dirty great V8s, races and challenges, driving skills and driving spills with some friendly-ish armchair debate in-between. Get your star spangled brave pants on, because here’s what to expect across the five 30-minute episodes we’ve got coming up… Includes: Singer ACS, Ford Bronco DR, Ruffian Mustang, Mustang Shelby GT500-H, Bronco Raptor, Hummer EV, Travis Pastrana and much more! McLaren 750S: 6 BIG Improvements Over The 720S | Top Gear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vkLBBmBe2I

Yes, it’s another new McLaren supercar that looks… exactly like the old McLaren supercar. But the idea with the new 750S isn’t to blow the poor old 720S into the middle of last week. No, the game plan here is to take what was already one of the very finest supercars on sale and fine-tune its foibles. So there’s a little more power from the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 here. And a little more bandwidth in the suspension there. More downforce. Less weight. But none of that matters. What’s crucial is that McLaren ups the fit and finish, irons out the foibles, and turns its brilliantly useable supercar into something you’d really fancy daily driving – even though it’s got more power than a P1 (minus the electric). A tricky mixture to concoct. Top Gear magazine’s Ollie Kew has driven the 750S coupe on track and the Spider on the road to see if the British Ferrari rival has pulled it off. FIRST DRIVE: Ferrari SF90 XX – 1,016bhp Road Legal XX!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxCk-yCe0Fg

This is the new SF90 XX, and it’s very fast indeed. It has 1016bhp. It has double the downforce of the regular SF90. It’s also lighter. It does 0-62mph in 2.3secs. But there’s one main thing that absolutely sets this XX apart from all the others. It’s road legal. The first ever XX car to be able to drive, well, anywhere you like really. But what about its track credentials? It happened to lap Fiorano in 1.17.3, making it Ferrari’s fastest-ever road car around their home circuit, 1.7 seconds ahead of the SF90. In total 1398 cars are being built, split between 799 Stradales (at £673,584 a pop) and 599 Spiders (each £730,000). A quick reminder that a base SF90 is £376k. Top Gear Magazine’s Head of Car Testing, Ollie Marriage, had the tough job of seeing what it’s like to drive. FIRST DRIVE: Kia EV9 – MASSIVE New Range Rover Rival

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-i-CTLsGRQ

Need to move seven people with electric power alone? No space for an intercity train on your driveway? Then you might fancy a look inside the biggest, most expensive Kia of all time: the new EV9. This absolute unit of a family SUV has all the usual stuff: big screen, big torque, hot-hatch troubling acceleration and lots of annoying driver ‘assist’ tech, but it’s what it’s made out of (recycled plastic, fishing nets and even sawdust) that Kia thinks will give its huge flagship an eco selling point, and allow it to steal customers from the Range Rover Sport, Tesla Model X, and Volvo’s new EX90. FIRST LOOK: Caterham Project V: 268bhp electrified lightweight

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4P32NATfZO4

Here’s some big British news for you – Caterham has unveiled a car with an actual roof. There’s more to the Project V concept than just its coupe shape of course, but for Caterham a tin top is a very big deal. Looking a bit like a cross between the Caterham C120 (the sports car that never was thanks to a failed joint-project with Alpine) and the Jannarelly Design-1 (Caterham’s recently appointed chief designer is none other than Anthony Jannarelly), Project V is a small, lightweight and simple EV. Sounds promising. At just over 4.2m long, 1.2m tall and a little under 1.9m wide, it’s obviously a fairly hefty departure from the Seven, but thankfully Caterham hasn’t been drawn into the bonkers electric hypercar power war. So, a single, rear-mounted motor sends just 268bhp to the rear wheels and there’s a 55kWh lithium-ion battery that can rapidly charge at 150kW. That should mean a 20 to 80 per cent top-up in 15 minutes and a range of around 249 miles. The all-important weight figure? Thanks to a carbon fibre and aluminium composite chassis, plus composite body panels, Caterham is targeting 1,190kg – almost exactly the same as the combustion-engined Alpine A110. 0-62mph should take less than 4.5 seconds and top speed should be around 143mph. To find out more about Caterham’s future, join Top Gear Magazine’s Tom Ford for a full tour around Project V, guided by Caterham’s CEO, Bob Laishley.
