Honda S2000 ‘R’: AP2 Build With FK8 K20C1 Type R Power | American Tuned ft. Rob Dahm

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpcfjZWjc6s

Honda never gave enthusiasts the 'R' version of the S2000 roadster they'd always wanted, so Evasive Motorsports imagined and built an S2000 R of their own. It’s a little bit more than just a fettled S2000 too, because under the bonnet is a 302bhp version of the FK8 Civic Type R’s 2.0-litre turbo four-pot. Considering the original S2000 made do with 237bhp, that’s quite the increase.

There’s also a carbon fibre Mugen air intake, Evasive’s own intake manifold and a titanium exhaust system from Origin Fab. A MoTeC ECU brings everything together and you get a limited slip diff and Koyo Racing radiator.

FIRST LOOK: 2024 Porsche Macan – £95k, 635bhp SUV With A BIG Change

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8OrzVtz2QM

This is the new Porsche Macan, and it is now an electric car. Which is a punchy move by Porsche. When the Cayenne and Macan SUVs are your bread and butter models globally (with the Macan being Porsche’s best-selling model in the UK), going full EV early feels… bold. There will be two initial models – the Macan 4 and Macan Turbo – both of which will be on Porsche’s new 800-volt PPE (Premium Platform Electric – which is incidentally the first time Porsche has electrified an existing model), both with dual-motors and all-wheel drive, and both get the same 100kWh battery, of which 95kWh is useable. Range is slated at 380 miles for the less powerful Macan 4, 367 miles for the faster Turbo, so you’ll be looking at high 200s in the real-world. Which is all very nice. But it wouldn’t be a Porsche if it were slow or cumbersome, so Porsche hasn’t skimped. The Macan 4 puts out just over 400bhp at max and hits 62mph in 5.1 seconds with a 137mph top speed. The Turbo is capable of 635bhp with launch control, can hit 62mph from rest in just 3.3 seconds and run on to a 162mph max. Currently, a basic Porsche Macan with a 263bhp turbo petrol 4-cyl engine costs £53,400. The most expensive six-cylinder Macan GTS weighs in at £71,700. That’s good value. But, inevitably, the electric version will set you back more – it’s priced at £69,800 for the Macan 4 and £95,000 for the Macan Turbo. Toyota Corolla GR vs Subaru BRZ: Track Test

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZsDrkfqC00

Life is not fair – One Direction refuses to reform, we can’t find a Caramac bar for love nor money and the US gets a pile of cool cars we, in the UK, don’t. To prove the problem is real and requires drastic and immediate rectification, Jethro and Jack gathered a Toyota GR Corolla (that shares much of its running gear and underpinnings with the sublime GR Yaris) and a Subaru BRZ (that shares almost all its underpinnings with the sublime Toyota GR86) and took them to a racetrack in Arizona. The mission? To construct a watertight argument for why both cars should be brought to the UK. Immediately. Is this the most modified VW Mk8 GTI in North America?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLvec7K3fnI

The Volkswagen GTI has sent many a VW nerd down the tuning rabbit hole. But for a tuning shop, every new model generation means a bunch of new products to bolt on, try out, and beta test. TG Tuning Correspondent Rob Dahm goes to Texas to check out BMP Tuning’s Pomelo-yellow GTI, the most heavily modified Mk8 GTI in North America – apparently – all in the name of finding the best bolt-ons available.
