I have a 1996 Audi A6 Quattro with a 2.8L. For awhile now I have felt a looseness under my feet which feels like it is coming from my front left tire. It happens when i go over small bumps at a slow speed, and gets worse while I’m turning to the right. It recently developed a louder CLUNK sound (Just a single clunk, not so much a CV joint Click), and this would only happen while turning right. I have recently replaced my LCA, as well as my outer tie rod end on that side (with MOOG). Wheel bearing has been done about 20k miles ago (unfortunately with a cheap brand). I KNOW the Struts have been very bouncy for as long as I’ve had the car, they are shot, but can they make that horrible noise, and make it feel like the tire could pop off? Perhaps the strut mount?

I am 20 years old and I am a fulltime student/worker. I make about 1,700$ every month and I have decent credit. Basically I am trying to avoid buying a car from a dealer due to finance and the high insurance rate due to my age. Instead I would like to get a personal loan and pay off my car completely that way I can buy it from a private seller or even negotiate with a dealer and put my car under a relatives insurance that way it will be cheaper. I’m planning to pay off the loan from month to month basis for 24 months but I am not quite sure what would it be the right thing to do besides paying everything cash. Any advice?

This is the car I have and at about 210,000 miles, the tranny began to fail. My dad who’s a mechanic, fixed it. When he finished with the repairs he mentioned we would have to service the transmission again in six months. It’s now been over a year. Is this bad? My dad has been so busy lately that I feel way too guilty to ask. If this is bad, what do I need to do? Should I do a transmission fluid change? And if so, what’s the best fluid for my car? As you can tell, I am a girl, so any feedback will be great. Thank you!!!

Self employed, but I haven’t been working much. Assume no verifiable consistent income for a couple years. I’ll start working again soon, but I need a car first. Stock holdings worth more than the cost of the car. (Rather not involve these as collateral or even bring it up, but if I must…) Credit score 761 as of last summer. Based only on a $300 card and no loans. I have since added a $500 card (which was difficult to get because I had no car or home loan on my credit rating). Both cards have been maxed out at one point, but have been paid down entirely for a few months now. I can put about $2,000 down on the car, $3,000 if I must and I guess sell stocks if I absolutely must have a bigger down payment. $2,000 is ideal though. What kind of loan can I expect to be approved for? Would it help if a family member with great credit co-signed? I’d rather not though.

There is a 1987 Turbo Buick Regal limited for sale for only $7900 and it looks like its in good shape but it has 175,000 miles on it. Just wondering how much would it cost to completely make this engine brand new. Haha sorry I’m not even sure rebuild is the right term I’m thinking about. Is rebuilding the engine making like in top shape? And if it is does anybody have some guesses on how much it would cost.
