New Toyota MR2! FT-Se Concept: Japan’s Porsche Cayman Rival

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxeZN96gyhg

This is the Toyota FT-Se: nothing to do with share indexes, everything to do with driving fun. It’s an electric sports car of course, imagining a near future of what a GR-branded, two-seater lightweight could look like, and what it could offer using next-gen technology. Like Toyota’s clever ‘prismatic’ batteries that offer a greater range and quicker charging over what’s currently available. The idea with the FT-Se is for the all-wheel-drive setup to have a rear-bias, not just for better traction, but also for better cornering, more driver confidence and of course, to allow some sideways lunacy. Sounds good to us. Toyota has indicated the Nürburgring will be one of the key battlegrounds for the FT-Se, and although they’ve not released official figures, we can expect a 0-62mph time of around three seconds and an estimated top speed of 155mph. Ferrari SF90 v Porsche 918 Spyder: DRAG RACE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k061gKzeuqE

Sell your car for free with Carwow: https://bit.ly/Sell-Your-Car-For-Free-2402 Time for a sensational supercar showdown! We’ve got Mat in the incredible Porsche 918 Spyder, and it’s facing off against the almighty Ferrari SF90! These two cars need no introduction, but let’s check out the stats anyway! Starting with the Porsche, it’s powered by a 4.6-litre naturally-aspirated V8 coupled with two electric motors. Combined, they can produce 887hp and 1,280Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed automatic gearbox, and the car tips the scales at 1,374kg. It also rolls up with a hefty price tag of a cool £1,300,000. Then we have the SF90. It comes equipped with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 coupled with three electric motors – two at the front and one at the back. Combined, they produce an eye-watering 1,000hp and 800Nm, pushing this power through all four wheels. It’s a bit heavier than the Porsche, though, at 1,570kg. It’s also a whole lot cheaper, costing around £376,000. So surely it’ll be an easy win for the more powerful SF90, right? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!
