Early Subaru Impreza WRX STI models are fantastic machines that boast rally DNA, a superb all-wheel drive system, and a potent turbocharged flat-4 engine. This particular example is especially cool, as it's one of only 400 22B STI models built – and, like all early STI variants of the Impreza WRX, it was never available here in the States. It's finished in the best color for these cars, and it features some great equipment like widened bodywork, STI-branded fog light covers, and an STI-branded exhaust tip. It's also equipped with some nice upgrades including Maxim Works headers, 18-inch Speedline wheels, a bolt-in roll cage, and a MOMO steering wheel. Well, Mat’s got his hands on an old Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7 Series and Lexus LS all from the early 2000s to see if opting for a classic limo is worth it. But to find out, he’s going to put them through a series of tests to find out which is the ultimate old luxury limo! Not only will he review and launch them, but he’ll also take them off-road, run their engines without oil, and swab test them all to find out just how disgusting their interiors are! So before we get into the video, which models do we have our hands on? First up is the Mercedes S320. Back in 2001, it would have cost £51,000 but we bought it today for just £1,800. It’s got a 3.2-litre straight-six turbodiesel engine that produces 197hp & 470Nm. Then there’s the Lexus LS430. It would’ve cost £54,000 when new, but we got it for £2,000. The Lexus packs more power than the S-Class, coming with a 4.3-litre V8 petrol engine that delivers 281hp & 417Nm. Finally, we’ve got the BMW 735i. In 2002 this would’ve set you back £53,000, but today it cost us just £1,400. This 735i has a 3.6-litre V8 petrol engine putting down 272hp & 360Nm. So which do you think will come out on top?
