Late in Stage 2 of the NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond, Chase Briscoe was turned entering Turn 3 after contact with Kyle Busch, triggering a multi-car crash. Ross Chastain, Brad Keselowski, Justin Haley, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Chase Briscoe, William Byron, Todd Gilliland, Cole Custer, and Erik Jones were all collected in the wreck. Following the initial collision, Busch made contact with Chase Elliott in Turn 4, turning him and collecting William Byron.
