- MX 5 Owners Club: https://mx5oc.co.uk/ This one’s for you, Mazda MX-5 fans… We’ve got our hands on every generation of MX-5, and they’re going head-to-head in a drag race! So let’s examine how these four RWD pocket rockets compare. Starting with the Mk1, it was released back in 1989, and it’s powered by a 1.8-litre naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder that can produce 131hp and 152Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual, and it tips the scales at 990kg. Alongside it, we have Mat in the Mk2 facelift. This was released in 1998, and under the bonnet, you’ll find a 1.8-litre 4-cylinder that can put down 146hp and 168Nm. Just like the Mk1, power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual, but this car is slightly heavier, weighing in at 1,065kg. Next up is the Mk3. It’s powered by a 2-litre 4 cylinder that can produce 160hp and 188Nm, and this time power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual. It’s the heaviest car in this line-up, tipping the scales at 1,100kg. Then finally we have the newest car, the Mk4 – and it’s the anniversary edition! It’s housing a 2-litre 4-cylinder under the bonnet, and it’ll come as no surprise that it’s the most powerful car here, producing 184hp and 205Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual, and it weighs in at 1,030kg. So will it be a clean sweep for the Mk4? Or could we see one of the older cars snatch a surprise win? There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE! Sell your car with carwow: https://bit.ly/Buy-Sell-WOW

I drove a Jimny with £40,000 worth of mods!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hN1XUMS7M0c

Thanks to Twisted for lending us their Jimny: https://www.instagram.com/twisted_automotive/ Meet the wildest Suzuki Jimny in the world! The team at Twisted Automotive have gone to town on this little Suzuki Jimny, and Mat’s about to see if he should add the same modifications to his own Jimny! To start off, let’s take a peek under the bonnet. This Jimny retains the same 1.5-litre petrol engine, but it’s had a turbocharger added to it. As a result, the power increase has been boosted from 101hp to 165hp! The torque has also increased, raising from 130Nm to around 200Nm. There have also been a number of chassis upgrades added, including some Bilstein dampers and an anti-roll bar at the rear. The car has also been lifted by 2-inches, along with having some chunky all-terrain tyres added. When it comes to the design, there are a few minor changes, including the adding of decals and the bumper being painted to match the body colour. Either way, it’s still unmistakably a Jimny! But once you step inside, there are a number of properly notable upgrades! For starters, there’s loads of leather added across the seats and along the dash, which is in a really smart black & brown two-tone effect. There’s been Alcantara added to the roof as well, to give it that true mini G63 feeling! However, there are a couple of issues. For one, this is built on the van version, so there are no rear seats! And because of this, an after market infotainment system has had to be added, and it doesn’t come with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto! So what do you think, is this Jimny worth the £60,000 price tag?! Or does the standard Jimny still reign supreme? You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself! Chapters

New BMW 5 Series review – still the best?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TV4CNsXcOI

The BMW i5 – it has finally arrived! This is the first all-electric version of the iconic 5 Series saloon and sits between the i4 coupe and range-topping i7 limo. While you get a large set of kidney grilles, they are not as intrusive as on the i4 or i7 – except for the weirdly placed sensor cover. You’ll also see flush door handles, alloy wheels ranging from 19- to 21-inch units and lots of blue flashes to ensure everybody knows it’s an electric car. Inside, it’s a classic BMW – professional, tidy and filled with tech. The German brand has also increased the cabin size to make the already comfortable interior even more accommodating. The boot is practical too. When it comes to the 5 Series, the entry-level uses a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that puts out 208hp. When it comes to the i5, the entry-level i40 uses a single motor that puts out 340hp and is equipped with an 82kWh battery pack which comes with a claimed range of up to 361 miles. The range-topping i5 is the M60, which has two motors that combine to put out 601hp. It has the same 82kWh battery pack, which is good for a range of 320 miles. But as with all BMWs, how it drives is just as important – so how does the i5 fare when Mat takes it for a spin? Watch the full review here to find out! Chapters
