We’ve got our hands on the original BMW M2, the BMW M2 Competition, the BMW M2 CS and the New BMW M2 to see which is the quarter-mile king! Not only that, we’ve got our hands on the car that inspired them all – the BMW 1M Coupe! So let’s see how they stack up. Starting with the 1M Coupe, it’s powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six that can produce 340hp and 500Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox, and the car weighs in at 1,495kg. Next up we have the original BMW M2. It’s powered by a 3-litre turbocharged straight-six, and it can put down 370hp and 500Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and it tips the scales at 1,520kg. Then we have the BMW M2 Competition. With a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six under the bonnet, it can put down 410hp and 550Nm, and power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It’s the heaviest car in the first race, weighing 1,575kg. Then we have the cars for the second race. Starting with the BMW M2 CS, it’s housing a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six under the bonnet, and it can put down 450hp and 550Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox, and it comes in lighter than the M2 Comp, at 1,550kg. Then finally we have the newest BMW M2. It’s got a (you guessed it…) 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six under the bonnet, and it’s the most powerful car here, putting down 460hp and 550Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic gearbox, and it’s a whole lot heavier than the other cars, weighing in at 1,725kg. So will the new M2 beat them all? The dark pomegranate colour of its petals appears almost black in shade, but in direct light, a red, pearlescent shimmer is revealed on the dark surface. These two colours form the primary palette of La Rose Noire Droptail. The first red shade is named ‘True Love’ in recognition of the romance the client wished to capture in this commission. The darker tone is named ‘Mystery’, inspired by the mysterious nature of the rose, which appears to change colour when viewed from different angles. There have been some INCREDIBLE cars released over the last several days, and this is our round-up of them! For starters we need to look at the most expensive new car in the world – the Rolls-Royce Droptail Roadster! This is much more than a fancy Rolls-Royce Dawn Convertible – this is a bespoke, one-of-one two-seater roadster with a completely new chassis. The level of detail in the car is absolutely incredible, including over 1,600 individual hand-made wooden parts, a watch fitted to the dash, and even a built-in champagne chest! Sounds impressive, right? Well, this custom Rolls-Royce will set you back an eye-watering £25,000,000!! So, don’t get your hopes up… Elsewhere, we also saw Lamborghini unveil its first electric car – the Lanzador! It may look like an SUV, but Lamborghini claims it’s an ‘Ultra GT’ that comes equipped with two electric motors that combine to produce an amazing 1,360hp! It may just be a concept for now, but it is likely to inspire a future all-electric Lambo that should be released around 2028. Not a fan of electric? Then don’t worry, Danish hypercar producer Zenvo has you covered with the all-new Zenvo Aurora. This comes equipped with a 6.6-litre quad-turbo V12 along with THREE electric motors to produce an incredible 1,850hp – 200hp more than a Chiron Supersport! It’ll also be able to hit 248mph in just 17 seconds! But that’s not all, there are so many other releases from the fastest Mustang ever through to a 4 electric motor-powered Speedster! We’ve got our hands on the all-new MG 4 XPower and it’s set to go up against a Lamborghini Gallardo and a Nissan GT-R R35! Now on the face of it, you may think that the MG is set to get absolutely crushed! But trust us, this is no normal MG. You see, whereas the normal MG 4 is equipped with a single electric motor that can deliver 203hp, the XPower comes with dual motors and the ability to produce 435hp and 600Nm of torque! That’s enough to propel it to 60mph in just 3.8 seconds, and amazing, it only costs £36,500! It’s the heaviest car here, though, weighing in at around 1,800kg. So let’s check out the competition. Up first we have the classic Lamborghini Gallardo. It’s packing a 5-litre naturally-aspirated V10 that can produce 520hp and 510Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels, and it’s the lightest car here, tipping the scales at 1,570kg. Then finally we have the GT-R.
