VW California T7 vs T6: The TRUTH!

Change your car with Carwow: https://bit.ly/Change-Your-Car-0304 This is the new Volkswagen California! Mat’s got his hands on the T7 edition of the California, and he’s about to see how it’s evolved over the previous T6 generation. One key change over the previous California is that the new car is based on a car platform, compared to a van platform used for the T6! This change is clear from the outside, with the front end of the California looking relatively similar to the ID Buzz. It comes with a full-length light bar and modern headlights, while along the side, the body panels continue the similarity to a car’s design. But on the inside is where you’ll find the most changes. The kitchen unit has evolved, now allowing someone to enter the California from either side! There’s a single gas burner, a fridge, and a number of power outlets. The back seats can move forward, back, or be removed altogether, and the front seats can turn around, too. The roof still expands to reveal a bed, and the rear seats can fold down to create a second bed as well. In terms of engines, there are two to choose from. There’s a 2-litre diesel that produces 150hp, or a 2-litre turbo petrol that produces 204hp. The entry-level T7 California costs around £63,000, while the range-topping car that we have here costs around £82,000. So, is it worth it, or should you just stick with the cheaper T6 instead? Stick with Mat to see for yourself! Thanks to https://instagram.com/the_lil_camper_co for lending us the California! Chapters

Mat and the team have flown out to Dubai to put some incredible sand buggies to the test over a series of 100m races. So, will racing driver Sam have what it takes to beat Mat? Let’s take a closer look at what they’re racing. First off, we have Mat in a Can-Am Maverick R XRS, which has a 1-litre, 3-cylinder turbo that can produce 240hp and 209Nm. It comes with all-wheel-drive, weighs 1,100kg, and costs around $42,000. Alongside him, we have Sam in a Polaris RZR Pro R, which is powered by a 2-litre 4-cylinder that creates 225hp and 206Nm. It has all-wheel drive, tips the scales at 1,050kg, and costs around $39,000. Once this race is done, Mat and Sam will try out tuned versions of the same buggies. The Polaris will have a new turbo added, coupled with engine upgrades to now produce 480hp and 407Nm, while the Can-Am has a new turbo kit as well as several other upgrades to create 480hp and 407Nm. Both buggies are now also running on ethanol! However, the following two races are absolutely out of this world. First, we bring in the Funco GTU, which has a 7.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that creates 1,700hp and 1,763Nm. Then, we’ll bring in the Blower, which creates an absolutely insane 4,000hp!!! So who will come out first over the 100m, Mat or Sam? There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE!
