This is the all-new BMW 3.0 CSL! It’s been 50 years since the launch of BMW’s M division, and it’s celebrating the anniversary with the release of this limited-edition 3.0 CSL! First things first, let’s look at the design… And what a design! It’s one of the wildest-looking M cars BMW has ever released, and as a result, it’s one of the best M cars ever released! Up front, there’s an updated kidney grille (which let’s be honest, looks SO much better than the new M3 & M4 grille) that comes with brushed aluminium frames. There are also vertical carbon fins on either side of the bonnet which were inspired by the original CSL. Around the back, you’ll find two rear wings, and the whole body is covered in smart creases. Oh, and let’s not forget that the whole body is made from carbon fibre! On the inside, the 3.0 CSL looks very similar to the M4 CSL. However, bar a few badges and minor design changes, there’s one key difference… There’s a bright white gear lever embossed with a ’50’ logo, as the 3.0 CSL is available as a manual only! Under the bonnet, you’ll find the most powerful 6-cylinder engine BMW has ever put in a production car. This 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six produces 560hp, which is 50hp more than the standard M4 Competition! BMW hasn’t released performance stats yet, but you can bet that this will come in at under 4 seconds. There are only 50 3.0 CSLs set to be produced, making it one of the rarest BMW M cars around. Given that the M4 CSL was limited to 1,000 units and costs around £120,000, you can guarantee the 3.0 CSL is set to easily cost £250,000+! But is it worth it?! It’s time for the ultimate BMW drag race – most powerful ICE vs most powerful EV! We’ve got Mat lining up in the BMW M8 Competition, and he’s facing off against Yianni in the New BMW iX M60! So let’s check out the stats. Starting with the M8, it’s powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can deliver 625hp and 750Nm. It tips the scales at 1,975kg, and to buy a new one today it’ll set you back around £110k. Then we have the iX M60. It’s equipped with a 105kWh battery pack as well as two electric motors. Combined these produce 619hp and an eye-watering 1,100Nm of torque! It’s pretty heavy mind, at 2,584kg, and it’s slightly more expensive than the M8, at £117,000. So the horsepower is pretty similar, but the iX has way more pulling power. Will the extra weight be its downfall? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

This is the new Ford Focus! The Focus isn’t as popular as it used to be, having recently dropped out of the top 10 of the most popular cars in the UK. Well, Ford is looking to reverse that trend, and as a result it’s brought in a number of changes to make it more appealing. The new model is only a facelift rather than an all-new model, but there are still a couple of noticeable changes. Starting at the rear, there’s some new tail lights along with twin exhaust pipes. Around the front, there’s some new LED headlights along with a new grille design. The Ford badge has also been moved from the bonnet down to the grille. On the inside, the most notable change is the new infotainment screen. It comes equipped with Ford’s all-new infotainment system too, but it’s a bit laggy and not the best to use. There are some new digital dials as well. Elsewhere, the cabin is pretty well made, with a fair bit of storage and nice materials throughout. As it stands, there are two engine choices available, with the range-topper being a 1-litre turbo petrol that can deliver 155hp. It’s available as either a manual or automatic, and there’s a diesel due out next year which will only be available as an automatic. The new Focus starts from around £26,000, but should you choose it over competitors such as the Golf? Stick with Mat to see for yourself! Chapters
