……………………………………………………. It's time for an absolutely wild Audi head-to-head! Mat's lining up in an Audi RS e-tron GT, and he's going up against the Audi RS Q e-tron Dakar Rallycar (I know, we didn't think we'd end up writing those words either…) So let's take a look at the stats. Starting with the RS e-tron GT, it's powered by two electric motors which can deliver646hp and 830Nm of torque. It's equipped with a 93kWh battery and tips the scales at 2,276kg. In terms of price, a new one of these will set you back around £115,000. And then we have the rally car! It's got a carbon fibre body, along with two motors taken from a Formula e car! So it must be pretty powerful, right? Well, these cars have a limited power output, so it only produces 380hp! (At least, for now…) It's also equipped with a small motor at the back to help regen power into the battery, so as a result, its weight is pretty similar to the e-tron GT – around 2,200kg. ……………………………………………………. Who’s ready for an EPIC tug-of-war?! Mat’s set up in a Hennessey Mammoth, and he’s about to face off against a couple of Bowler Defender rally challenge cars! Now let’s start off with the Mammoth because the stats on this pick-up are absolutely insane! It started life as a Dodge Ram TRX, which is equipped with a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 that can deliver 702hp. However, Hennessey has gone to work on this already powerful pick-up, and as a result, it now delivers an amazing 1026hp and 1,314Nm of torque! It also weighs in at a colossal 3,200kg! Then we have the Bowler, which is equipped with the usual 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine as found in the usual Land Rover Defender. However, Bowler has gone to work on it, adding in new suspension & chassis so that it’s prepped for rallying! It’s also a fair bit lighter than the Mammoth, weighing in at 2,200kg. We’ve got our hands on a V8-powered Mustang, and it’s about to go head-to-head against the Mustang Mach-E GT to see which of these Fords is quicker over the quarter-mile. Interestingly, the V8 Mustang has a slight tune, and as a result, the power output is almost identical to the Mach-E GT, with the 5-litre V8 producing 490hp and 530Nm of torque. In comparison, the Mustang Mach-E GT is powered by two electric motors which combine to produce 487hp, although torque is way up at 860Nm. However, that’s not all that’s up – the Mach-E tips the scales at a whopping 2,200kg, while the petrol-powered Mustang sits at 1,740kg. ……………………………………………………. Listen up, BMW fan boys & fan girls – there’s a new 5 Series on the way! But that’s not all! Just like the recently unveiled 7 Series, there’ll also be an all-electric version released too – the i5! So how can we be so sure that there’s a new 5 Series in the works? Well for starters, we’ve recently spotted a BMW saloon undergoing testing in Germany. And given the 7 Series and 3 Series have both been unveiled and updated in the past few months, this means only one thing – it has to be the 5 Series! The question is, what can we expect from the new 5? Well, we’re expecting it to arrive with a choice of 2-litre 4 cylinder and 3-litre straight-six petrol and diesel engines. We’re also expecting the style to be smoother and sleeker than the previous design, and (thankfully) to have a much more conservative grille than what we’ve seen with the likes of the M3 & M4! As for the i5, this is likely to mirror the design, although there’ll be a few subtle cues that separate it from the petrol-powered 5 Series. We’re also expecting it to come with both single and dual motor options, and given the dual motor i4 can produce 544hp, you can expect the i5 to achieve a fair bit more!
