Mat’s lining up in the latest VW Golf R, and he’s going head-to-head against a BMW M240i & a Honda Civic Type R! Does the Golf R stand a chance? Let’s check out the stats! It’s powered by a 2-litre 4 cylinder which is good for 320hp & 420Nm of torque. It’s also equipped with four-wheel drive, and it tips the scales at 1,550kg. The Civic Type R also has a 2-litre 4 cylinder under the bonnet, and its power is almost identical to the Golf, producing 320hp & 400Nm. However, not only is it only front-wheel drive, but it’s also a manual! But at least it’s the lightest car here, at 1,395kg. Then we have the BMW. It’s housing a 3-litre straight-six engine that can produce 374hp & 500Nm. It’s also equipped with four-wheel drive, but it’s the heaviest car here, at 1,690kg! So let’s take a look at exactly what’s been announced… The star of the show is easily the Brabus 820 – a tuned Porsche 911 Turbo S! Regular viewers of our channel will know just how insane the regular 911 Turbo S can be, but Brabus has just turned the dials up to 11! This all-new 911 can now put down an incredible 820hp and 950Nm of torque!! It can also hit 60mph in just 2.5 seconds – 0.2 seconds quicker than the standard car! It’s also got a whole load of design and aero updates, including a carbon fibre rear wing and front splitter. Then there’s the updated Rolls-Royce Ghost. Starting with what’s under the bonnet, you’ll find the same 6.75-litre V12 as in the regular Ghost, but the power has been boosted from 563hp to 700hp!! It can also hit 60mph in 4.6 seconds. What’s more, there are a number of aero & design updates, including a carbon fibre front splitter, rear diffuser and carbon spoiler! You’ll also find a new brake light design around the back, too! However, it’s not just the design that’s changed. Although it’s packing the same 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six as the regular M4, the power has been boosted to 550hp! What’s more, even though it’s still RWD, the M4 CSL is officially the quickest BMW M production car around the Nurburgring! Mat’s in the Subaru Impreza P1, and he’s going head-to-head with another world-famous rally car, the Mitsubishi Evo VI! They’re two very different cars, but their stats are oh-so similar. Starting with the Subaru, it’s powered by a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that can put down 280hp & 353Nm of torque. It’s equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox, four-wheel-drive, and it tips the scales at 1,283kg. As for the Evo, well it’s also packing a 2-litre turbo petrol engine, and while it puts down an identical 280hp, it can produce slightly more torque, at 373Nm. Just like the Subaru, it also includes a 5-speed manual and four-wheel-drive, but it’s slightly heavier, at 1,360kg. So, it’s a battle of the gear changes, but who will be better, Mat or Yianni?
