……………………………………………………. This is the all-new Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo! It’s the estate version of the all-electric Taycan, and it’s the first all-electric EV estate in the world (well, if you exclude the MG 5…)! The question is, should you choose it over the regular Taycan? Well if you’re looking for styling changes, there isn’t much to see here! The interior’s almost exactly the same, and when it comes to the exterior, there are only a few minor cosmetic updates to be found to help it looks a bit more 'off-roady', apparently. But then again, if you’re choosing the Cross Turismo, you’re probably most interested in the extra space you’ll get! And to be honest… it’s not loads, with 446 litres available at the rear. That’s only around 40 more than you get in the regular Taycan! So is that a bit less space than you expected? Well thankfully there’s one area where the Taycan Cross Turismo doesn’t disappoint – the performance! There are a handful of options available, but the range-topper is the Turbo S, which delivers 761hp and an epic 1,050Nm of torque! So, how high has Porsche set the EV estate bar? Now you might think that this is a bit of an odd drag race, given both of these cars are effectively just the same but in different bodies, right? Well that’s where you’re wrong! First up we have Mat in the AMG A45. It’s powered by a 2-litre 4 cylinder engine to deliver 421hp and 500Nm of torque. It also weighs in at 1,635kg. Alongside him we have the CLA. However, it’s had £800 worth of Stage 1 upgrades, and as a result its 2-litre 4 cylinder produces 490hp & 660Nm of torque. It also weighs in slightly heavier, at 1,675kg. It’s not all bad news… It’s no surprise that AMG is starting to increase its electric offering. Almost every manufacturer is planning to release a host of electric cars over the next few years, given the new regulation changes coming in the next few years. Not only that, but brands like Tesla are proving increasing popular, so it makes sense for AMG to join the party. But it’s fair to say though that they’re going to start off with a bang! Due to be revealed later this year is the hybrid AMG GT 4-door, which AMG has confirmed will produce over 800hp and about 1000Nm of torque!! And that’s just for starters. An AMG edition of the EQS is due out sometime next year, along with a hybrid edition of the AMG C63! The question is, are AMG too late to capture your interest over class-leaders such as the Porsche Taycan or Audi RS e-tron GT? You’ll have to keep watching to find out! …………………………………………………….

……………………………………………………. It’s time to find out which estate from the 2000s was the fastest! We’ve got the Audi RS6 C6, the BMW E61 M5 Touring and the AMG E55 Estate lining up to do battle over the quarter-mile. First up we have Mat in the RS6, which is powered by a 5-litre twin-turbo V10 to deliver 579hp and 650Nm of torque. It weighs in at just over 2-tonnes, and it also comes with Quattro all-wheel-drive! As for the BMW, it’s hiding a 5-litre naturally-aspirated V10 up-front, which puts down 507hp and 520Nm. It weighs a fair bit less than the RS6, coming in at 1,880kg, but unlike the Audi it’s just rear-wheel-drive. Finally we have the AMG E55, which houses a 5.4-litre supercharged V8. It delivers the least power, with just 476hp, but it has the ability to put down 700Nm! And just like the BMW, it’s just RWD. Surely it’ll be a walkover for the Audi, right?!
