First up, Mat’s GT-R NISMO is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 which can produce 600hp & 650Nm. The R8 alongside him has a 5.2-litre V10 with 625hp & 590Nm of torque. And then finally we have the Porsche, which has a 3.8-litre flat-six turbo to produce 650hp & 800Nm. So, there's one thing they have in common – they’re all absolutely awesome machines! But of course, there can only be one winner – so who’s your money on? We know how quick the 911 Turbo is, so it may be a foregone conclusion when it comes to who snatches the win… But could Mat snatch second place from Yianni in the Audi R8? ……………………………………………………. This is the new Mercedes EQA! You can probably already tell it’s based on the Mercedes GLA, but of course, there’s one key difference – the EQA is all-electric! The question is, should you really consider paying several thousand pounds more to go electric? Well, the EQA has a 66.5kWh battery pack which powers a single front motor. This can produce 190hp and 375Nm of torque. Four-wheel-drive variants are due to in the future, but for now, you’ll have to settle with front-wheel-drive only. When it comes to powering up your EQA, it has the ability to charge up to 100kWh, which will help boost your battery from 10% to 80% full in just 30 minutes, which isn’t too bad! As for interior space & practicality, well, it’s all pretty similar to the GLA, although you may have to compromiseimise a little on space to accommodate the battery pack! ……………………………………………………. This is the all-new Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo… And it just might be the most practical EV in the world! It’s the estate version of Porsche’s first all-electric car, and it’s clearly borrowed heavily from the Mission E Cross Turismo Concept that was first shown in 2018. In terms of practicality, there’s a host of new features, from a completely new roof (with optional roof rails), along with the ability to add a bike rack. The size of the boot has also increased (although, not massively!) to 446-litres. Looking to go off-road? Then the Taycan Cross Turismo sport has you covered, with an all-new ‘gravel’ driving mode which raises the ride height of the car to handle any non-tarmac trails you try to conquer! Elsewhere, it pretty much business as usual. The interior is largely the same, and when it comes to performance, the range-topping Turbo S can deliver 625hp, which increases to 761hp when you enable boost mode! It’s Audi’s answer to the Tesla Model S Plaid Plus & the Porsche Taycan Turbo, and Mat’s got his hands on one to see if this all-new Audi can make it alongside these class-leaders! So if we’re comparing it to the Taycan Turbo & Plaid Plus, then you already know RS e-tron is packing a punch! It’s got two electric motors (one at the front, one at the back) and combined they can produce 598hp. However, the e-tron GT also comes with a boost function, which for 2.5 seconds will deliver 646hp! Not only that, but Audi claim it can hit 60mph in just 3.3 seconds. When looking at the battery, the e-tron GT has a 93kWh battery pack, which Audi claims will be good for a range of 300 miles. However, we’ve seen electric cars drop well below their claimed range before, so do you think the e-tron will offer good enough economy? You’d sure hope it would, especially given the range-topping RS e-tron GT Vorsprung comes in at an eye-watering £133,000!! Will it be worth it? You’ll have to keep watching to find out! Chapters
