……………………………………………………. This is the new Hyundai Tucson! Hyundai’s updated SUV is designed to go head-to-head with the likes of the Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Karoq & SEAT Ateca. The question is, when there’s so much choice in the SUV market already, does the new Tucson offer enough to stand out from the crowd? The biggest (and best!) changes to the design compared to the old model can be found inside the cabin, where an updated ‘swooping’ effect runs across the dash. There's also a new infotainment system and layout. When it comes to performance, the only engine available is a 1.6-litre petrol. And while the range kicks off with the ability to produce 150hp, the range-topper is a hybrid edition, which combined with an electric motor to produce 230hp! So who do we have lining up today? First up we have Mat in the new Land Rover Defender, which is powered by a 2-litre turbocharged Diesel engine to deliver 240hp and 430Nm of torque. Alongside him we have the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, which has a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine which can put down 272hp & 400Nm of torque. We also have a G-Class joining us (a G350d, to be precise!) which has a 2.9-litre straight-six turbo diesel to produce 286hp & 600Nm of torque! And then finally we have an old Defender, with a 2.2-litre turbo diesel which can only put down 122hp & 360Nm. So how do you think this one will play out? The G has the most pulling power, but it’s also the heaviest (and not to mention the most expensive!). Or perhaps the all-new Defender will be able to race away to victory? ……………………………………………………. This is the all-new Mercedes C-Class! And we have just one question to ask… Could it be the most luxurious small saloon to go on sale this year?! Well, when it comes to the looks, there’s no denying that it looks fairly similar to the old car. However, that’s no bad thing! However, it's a different story on the inside, with the C-Class having undergone a complete overhaul, topped off with a huge infotainment system screen just like you'll find in the S-Class! When it comes to performance, it seems Mercedes has done away with the old generation's 6 cylinder engine, so you'll now only have a choice mild-hybrid petrol & diesel engines to pick from. Given there aren’t any AMG editions available (yet!), the quickest petrol model is the C300, which comes with a 258hp 2-litre engine to deliver 0 – 60mph in 6 seconds – so it’s not too bad! When it comes to the looks, there’s no denying that the Polestar 1 is a gorgeous set of wheels. Not only that, but you’ll also be doing your bit for the environment if you invest in one of these, as it’s a plug-in hybrid that can drive for 77 miles on electric power alone – the most of any PHEV available today! But just because it’s a hybrid doesn’t mean it’s down on power, as under the bonnet you’ll find a 2-litre supercharged engine which, along with two electric motors, can deliver 609hp and an amazing 1000Nm!
