We’ve got Mat in a Land Cruiser from 2002, and it’s about to face off against a Range Rover in a series of off-road challenges! So let’s see how the two compare. Starting with the Land Cruiser, it’s powered by a 4.7-litre naturally-aspirated V8 that can produce 235hp and 434Nm of torque. It comes equipped with a 4-speed automatic gearbox, and it weighs in at 2,260kg. We picked up this car with over 275,000 miles on the clock, and it still cost us £5,000! Alongside that, we have the Range Rover. It dates back to 2004, and it’s powered by a 4.4-litre naturally-aspirated V8 that can put down 286hp and 440Nm. This power is sent to all four wheels via a 5-speed automatic gearbox, and it tips the scales at 2,440kg. What’s more, the Range Rover only cost us £2,000 when we picked it up! So the Range Rover is heavier, but it also has more power! Will the weight difference prove decisive? There’s only one way to find out… Let’s do this!
