We’ve got our hands on a Toyota Chaser & a Nissan R34 Skyline, and they’re both going head-to-head in a drag race! Both these cars have been heavily modified and normally spend most of their time drifting, but Mat and Yianni wanted to see how they compared when they went head-to-head in a straight-line race! First up we’ve got the Toyota Chaser JZX100. Normally its 2.5-litre inline 6 would produce 276hp and 377Nm, but naturally, it’s been increased, and it now produces 500hp and 678Nm! Power is sent to the rear wheels only via a 5-speed manual, and the total cost of the car including the upgrades is £50,000. Next up we have the GT-R R34. Normally it would ‘only’ produce 155hp and 186Nm, but this has been dialled way up to now produce 550hp and 746Nm! Just like the Chaser it’s RWD, and the total cost including all upgrades is around £100,000! The question is, who will handle the manual shifts better – Mat or Yianni?
