We’ve got our hands on the BMW M3 Touring, and it’s facing off against one of the most powerful estates ever – the Mercedes-AMG E63 S Estate! So let’s see how the two compare. Starting with the BMW, it’s powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six that can deliver 510hp and 650Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and it tips the scales at 1,865kg. If you’re looking to buy one of these, it’ll set you back at least £88,000. Then we have the AMG. It’s packing a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet, and this can produce 612hp and 850Nm. It rolls up equipped with a 9-speed automatic gearbox to send power to all four wheels, and it’s the heavier of the two cars, weighing in at 1,940kg. Back when this was released in 2019, it would cost you around £110,000. So could the newer BMW snatch it, even with less power?! There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!
