Porsche 911 GT3 Manual v PDK: DRAG RACE

Which is faster, a manual Porsche 911 GT3 or a Porsche 911 GT3 equipped with a PDK automatic gearbox? Well, it’s time to find out! Mat and Yianni are lining up for another carwow drag race to see just how much performance difference there is when it comes to choosing either an automatic or manual gearbox in the new Porsche 911 GT3. Apart from the gearbox, these two cars are almost identical. They’re both powered by a 4-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six, and they both put down 510hp and 470Nm of torque respectively. The manual is slightly lighter, though, tipping the scales at 1,418kg. With the PDK equipped, it comes in at 1,435kg. So how will this play out… Will it be a clean sweep for the auto? Or could the manual win it? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!
