A budget Rolls-Royce Cullinan?!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_GgfxOGw94

This is the new DS7, and Mat’s about to find out if this family-friendly SUV has what it takes to compete with market-leading small SUVs like the Mercedes GLA and Volvo XC40! So let’s check out the design. It’s fair to say the DS7 certainly looks the part, with this updated model coming with all-new taillights coupled with the brand’s 3D name badge on the back. The model we have here comes with black cladding around the wheel arches, roof bars and some chrome surrounds on the windows. But the star of the show is up top, with an all-new grille at the front of the car that has some chrome inserts added to it. It’s also flanked by some new headlights and newly-designed daytime running lights. But while the looks are pretty impressive on the outside, it’s a different story on the inside. Clearly, DS has tried to make the interior design unique, there seems to have been more of a focus on being different rather than quality. There are lots of diamond patterns throughout the cabin, but the quality of some of these elements could be a bit better. The updated model also comes with a full digital dial display, but the graphics aren’t the best. All-in-all the interior is ok, but it’s losing out to its competitors in this department. When it comes to engines, there are a few to choose from, with the entry-level being a 1.5-litre diesel that drives the front wheels and delivers 130hp. There are two plug-in hybrids available, with the range-topper coming equipped with a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine coupled with dual-electric motors to produce four-wheel-drive, as well as the ability to put down 360hp. If you’re looking to pick up an entry-level DS7 the price starts from around £37,000. However, top-of-the-range models come in at over £60,000! So is it really worth it?! Or could that £60,000 be spent on a much more established player in the market? You’ll have to stick with Mat and find out for yourself! Chapters

Thanks to https://www.instagram.com/redbulluk/ & https://www.instagram.com/primeproductionsamg/ for helping to set up this race! Who’s ready for an EPIC drag race! For the first time ever, Mat has got his hands on a McLaren Senna! And he’s about to go head-to-head with… A Lexus?! Well trust us, this is no ordinary Lexus… it’s a Lexus RC F Drift Car! So let’s take a closer look at how these two cars compare. Starting with the Lexus, it may be based on an RC F, but the only thing left from the original car is pretty much the Lexus badges at the front and rear! It’s powered by a 2JZ engine that can produce an eye-watering 1,200hp and 1,000Nm of torque, and it’s super light, weighing in at just 1,250kg! Then alongside it we have Mat in the McLaren. The Senna is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that can put down an amazing 800hp and 800Nm! In terms of weight, it comes in at 1,309kg. So the Lexus has more power AND it weighs less – but when you consider it’s designed to be flung around corners at pace, does it really stand a chance going in a straight line? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

700hp Supra Mk4 v BMW M3: DRAG RACE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G17bB4gyKxo

Thanks to Jodie for joining us for this race: @KiddinaSweetShop Thanks to everyone for lending us their cars:
- Mk4 Supra: https://www.instagram.com/whifbitz
- BMW M3: https://www.instagram.com/exoticislandproduce How’s this for a RWD drag race?! We’ve got Mat lining up in a classic Mk4 Supra, and he’s facing off against Jodie Kidd in a G80 BMW M3! Think this one will be a walkover for the BMW? Well, guess again! You see, although the Supra still has the same 2JZ 3-litre engine under the bonnet as when it was released in 1997, it’s had a little work done to it. It’s swapped two turbos for one much bigger one, and as a result this JDM classic now pumps out 708hp and 709Nm! What’s more, it’s also fitted with a new gearbox – the same 8-speed auto gearbox as found in the G80 M3! In comparison, the G80 comes with a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six under the bonnet, but it can ‘only’ put down 510hp and 650Nm! Sure it may be much newer and come with launch control, but it’s also heavier than the Supra, tipping the scales at 1,730kg. In comparison, the Supra weighs in at 1,490kg. So what do you think – is the Supra going to smash it?! Or is it not going to be able to handle that much power through its rear wheels? There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE!
