Every Cayenne Turbo DRAG RACE

Thanks to https://www.instagram.com/f120nky/ for lending us the Mk1. Thanks to https://www.instagram.com/rom_motors/ for lending us the Mk2. Take a look at their stock here: https://www.rommotors.co.uk/ We’ve got our hands on the Mk1 Porsche Cayenne Turbo, the Mk2 Turbo S, and the Mk3 Turbo S e-hybrid, and we’re about to go full send down an airstrip to see how performance has changed across these three generations! So let’s compare the stats. Starting with the Mk1, it’s powered by a 4.5-litre twin-turbo V8 that can deliver 450hp and 620Nm of torque. It tips the scales at around 2,300kg. Next up it’s the Mk2, and this Turbo S houses a 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8 that’s good for 570hp and 800Nm. Surprisingly, it’s lighter than the Mk1, weighing around 2,200kg. Then finally we have the Mk3 Turbo S e-hybrid. This is equipped with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 coupled with an electric motor, and combined they deliver a glorious 680hp and 900Nm of torque! Naturally, though, the hybrid tech weighs it down a bit. As a result, it tips the scales at around 2,500kg. So what do you think, is the result a foregone conclusion? Or could the Mk2 snatch the win? This car’s roof is AMAZING!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWuLJhUcJhY

Say hello to the new Toyota Aygo X! Toyota’s beefed up its entry-level offering, and it’s now one of the smallest crossover SUVs you can buy! But is it really worth it? Well, let’s check out the design. It’s clear to see it’s increased in size compared to the previous edition, having grown slightly wider, longer and taller! It also comes in a pretty fetching two-tone paint, and if you’re willing to splash the cash, you can ever get it with a canvas folding roof! On the inside, it’s clear that this is Toyota’s entry-level car. There’s scratchy plastic found throughout the cabin, apart from on the areas you’ll touch often, such as the steering wheel and gear stick. The infotainment screen ranges between 7 – 9 inches, and the graphics are suitable for a car of this size. Thankfully Android Auto & Apple CarPlay are both available. Where the Aygo X is really let down is the engine. There’s only one available, a 1-litre 3 cylinder that produces an almighty 72hp. The Aygo X starts from just £16,000, so should you choose it over competitors such as the SEAT Ibiza or Hyundai i10? Stick with Mat to see for yourself! Chapters

New AMG SL 55 vs old AMG SL 55: DRAG RACE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5TY3g_DEuU

It’s time for an AMG SL showdown!! We’ve got our hands on the all-new Mercedes-AMG SL 55, and it’s about to go head-to-head over the quarter-mile against a classic SL 55 from 2004! So which is better? Well, let’s check out the stats! The old SL rolls up with a 5.5-litre supercharged V8 under the bonnet that can normally deliver 490hp and 700Nm. However, the one we’ve got our hands on has been tuned, and can now deliver 625hp! It s equipped with RWD, and it weighs in at 1,885kg. As for the new SL, the supercharged V8 has been swapped for a 4-litre twin-turbo V8. This can put down 476hp and 700Nm, which means it’s down on power compared to the tuned SL. However, it has one key advantage… It comes with AWD! So what do you think, will it be a clean sweep for the new SL? And more importantly, will it show that it’s worth the eye-watering £147,000 price tag?! There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE! Genesis GV80 review: A budget Bentayga!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZKkcRXiiwI

Meet the new Genesis GV80! It’s a posh, luxurious 7-seater that is looking to go toe-to-toe with market leaders such as the Mercedes GLS and Audi SQ7! The question is, can this Korean SUV display the German market leaders? Well, let’s take a look at what you get for your money. It certainly looks the part from the outside, with a smart split taillight design and roof spoiler around the back, through to a huge grille up front. In fact, we’re pretty sure the Genesis designers borrowed a bit from the Bentley Bentayga… But then again, that’s no bad thing! The quality continues on the inside, with soft-touch materials throughout the cabin. Premium models such as the one we have here come with wood effect trim as well, which if anything reminds us of the BMW iX! It also comes with a set of digital dials, although the quality isn’t that great. One area where the GV80 is let down is the choice of engines, where you only have one petrol and one diesel to choose from. The petrol’s a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo that can produce 304hp, so if you’re looking for a bit more power from a 7-seater, you may want to look elsewhere. The Genesis GV80 comes in at £60,000, rising up to around £78,000 for top-of-the-range models. So what do you think – is it worth it? Stick with Mat and see for yourself! Chapters
