We’ve brought back the Tesla Model X Plaid, and it’s going up against a Nissan GT-R NISMO! So let’s check out the stats. Normally the GT-R is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 that can produce 600hp and 650Nm of torque. However, it’s been tuned, and as a result, it can now produce an amazing 810hp and 890Nm of torque! This power is sent to all four wheels, and it tips the scales at 1,725kg. Then alongside it we have the Tesla. It’s powered by three electric motors, and these combine to produce 1,020hp and 1,420Nm of torque. But even though it’s up on power, it’s also well up on weight compared to the GT-R, weighing in at 2,539kg! So the Tesla is a fair bit more powerful, but it’s also a whole lot heavier! We’ve got our hands on a classic Toyota Land Cruiser from 2002, and it’s about to face off against a GSXR 1000 K2 in a series of off-road challenges! On the face of it the Land Cruiser should walk it, right? Well, this is no ordinary super bike! It’s had a load of mods added to it so it can tackle this off-road course, including the addition of off-road tyres and armour plating underneath! So let’s see how the two compare. Starting with the Land Cruiser, it’s powered by a 4.7-litre naturally-aspirated V8 that can produce 235hp and 434Nm of torque. It’s equipped with four-wheel drive, and it also has low-range mode and a central locking diff. As for the bike, it’s naturally a whole lot lighter than the Land Cruiser, weighing only 198kg. It’s still packing a bit of power, mind, being able to put down 140hp. So can a super bike that was built for the road really compete on an off-road course? So let’s take a closer look at what’s been released. Earlier this week Porsche lifted the lid on the Taycan Turbo GT. It’s the most powerful Porsche production car ever released, pumping out an incredible 1,100hp! That’s more power than a Tesla Model S Plaid, and amazingly, it’s claimed it can hit 60mph in just 2.2 seconds! There’s a catch, though – it’ll set you back at least £186,000. That’s around £90,000 than the Plaid! It’s also been confirmed that a new Bugatti hypercar is on the way! We don’t have any details on the name yet, or the power figures, but one thing we do know is this all-new V16 engine sounds absolutely epic! We also know that this new Bugatti will come with hybrid tech, so you can bet it’ll pump out more than the 1500hp produced by the Chiron’s W16! An all-new AMG E53 was also unveiled just this week. This will also come with hybrid tech, which in this instance will see an electric motor mounted inside the gearbox! This will combine with the 3-litre turbocharged straight-six engine to produce 612hp and propel the E53 to 60mph in just 3.8 seconds! So they’re some pretty special cars, but there are so many more recently unveiled, including an all-electric Charger Daytona, a couple of Rivian EVs, and the all-new ID3 GTX & ID7 GTX Tourer!
