Thanks to everyone for lending us their cars: – E28: https://www.instagram.com/bmrperformanceltd/
- E34: https://www.instagram.com/nicksinghsahota/
- E39: https://www.instagram.com/tejs_specialist_cars/ Subscribe to carwow.de: https://youtu.be/gyoK74JUXsk Here we go BMW fans, this is the one you’ve been waiting for… BMW M5 GENERATIONS DRAG RACE!! We’ve got every generation of BMW M5, from the original E28 through to the F90, and we’re about to find out just how much the BMW M5 has come along since it first rolled off the production line. So let’s see how they all compare. Starting with the E28, it’s powered by a 3.5-litre naturally-aspirated straight-six that can deliver 286hp and 340Nm of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual. Going up against it we have the E34, which houses a 3.8-litre naturally-aspirated straight-six that can put down 340hp and 400Nm of torque. And just like the E28, power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. Next up we have the E39, which is housing a 5-litre naturally-aspirated V8 under the bonnet! As a result, it’s way up on power compared to the E34, putting down 400hp and 500Nm. However, it still only comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox, and of course, power is sent to the rear wheels only. Alongside this though we have the glorious E60, which comes equipped with an incredible 5-litre naturally-aspirated V10! This monster can put down 507hp and 520Nm of torque, with all that power being sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed robotised manual gearbox. For the final two cars, we’re switching up to dual-clutch automatic gearboxes. Starting with the F10, it’s powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that sends all its power to the rear wheels. However, the latest generation, the F90, is not only up on power (with 625hp and 750Nm), but it also comes equipped with four-wheel drive! So will the F90 clean up against the opposition? Or could we have an upset on our hands? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE! Mat’s BMW deal: Sell your car with carwow: https://bit.ly/Buy-Sell-WOW

New Volkswagen Amarok review: Everything you need to know!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9J2MJ52kjOY

This is the all-new Volkswagen Amarok! Now there’s one thing about this new Amarok that really sets it apart from its predecessor… Underneath the skin, it’s pretty much a Ford Ranger! VW has just gone to work on it, adding some new body panels and updating some of the interior, but otherwise, it’s pretty much just a Ranger! But either way, let’s see if this is one pick-up that you need to consider. Starting with the design, it’s clear from the rear that the Amarok brought in new body panels over the Ranger as you have a big Amarok wording embossed into the tailgate. We also have the Pan Americana trim on this edition, so we get some smart metal bars that sit along the edge of the load bed. Along the side, there are running boards, and upfront, the Pan Americana trim means we have a matte dark grey effect running through the bottom of the grille, which really adds to the imposing look of this pick-up. Step inside and the familiarity with the Ranger becomes clear. The centre console and infotainment set-up are identical, with a big vertical screen in the centre of the dash. All-in-all the cabin is pretty well made, with soft-touch materials throughout the cabin. The infotainment system has been taken across from the Ranger, which is a good thing! Although, despite the Amarok coming with some physical buttons, you still have the use the touchscreen to control the climate. When it comes to engine choices, there are three options. The entry-level is a 2-litre turbo diesel that can deliver 170hp and comes with a manual gearbox. Next up is a 2-litre turbo diesel that comes with a 10-speed automatic gearbox, with the ability to deliver 205hp. But the range-topper is a 3-litre V6 turbo diesel, which also comes with a 10-speed automatic gearbox, along with the ability to produce 240hp. The price of the new Amarok starts from around £41,000, rising all the way up to around £57,000 for this top-of-the-range model. But is it worth it? Or should you go for a Hill or Ranger instead? You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself! Chapters
