Lotus Emira review – and my BANNED test!

Looking to sell your car? Then you've come to the right place. carwow is the free, easy way to change your car online. Check it out here: https://bit.ly/Buy-Sell-WOW
……………………………………………………. Introducing the final Lotus to be powered by an internal combustion engine – the Emira! Mat’s got his hands on this all-new sports car to see if it can compete with class-leading competitors like the Porsche Cayman GTS. So naturally, with it being a sports car, we need to check out the performance. The Emira will come with two engine choices, and the one we have here is a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 that’s produced by Toyota and is good for 400hp and 420Nm of torque. It powers the rear wheels along with a 6-speed manual gearbox and is good for a top speed of 180mph. Later on this year, you’ll also be able to get your hands on an Emira powered by the same engine you’ll find in the AMG A45 S – a 2-litre turbocharged 4 cylinder! However, Mercedes has turned down the power output on it, so as a result it only produces 360hp & 430Nm. However, although it’s still RWD, it’ll also roll up with an automatic gearbox! Elsewhere, there’s no denying that the Emira is a really classy car. From the outside, it looks super-sleek and is covered with vents (and they all serve a purpose!), and it even comes with real exhaust tips at the back! And once you step inside, the interior quality can easily match what you’ll find in a Porsche, with leather & high-quality materials throughout, along with a good-sized infotainment screen. The starting price is just £60,000, so surely this is the must-have sports car of 2022, right?! You’ll have to stick with Mat to see for yourself! Chapters

Check out Mark McCann – @MarkMcCann64 This is going to be a good one! Mat’s in a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, and this time he’s facing off against an epic Suzuki Hayabusa. Let’s kick off with the stats of the Aventador. It’s packing a glorious 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 that can deliver 770hp & 720Nm. This SVJ tips the scales at 1,525kg, and costs an eye-watering £350,000!!! The Suzuki Hayabusa, unsurprisingly, is significantly lighter than its supercar opponent – and it costs a bit less, too! It weighs just over 260kg, and costs about around £17,000. In terms of power, the Suzuki Hayabusa can put down 195hp. So, will the £350k supercar beat the £17k superbike over the standing quarter-mile?? As ever, there’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE! Cupra Born 2022 review

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2DPD6kMgOM

Need help buying your next car? Click the following link and my team and I will help you choose your ideal car at a fair price – from Mat Watson! https://bit.ly/Wow-Me-carwow ……………………………………………………. This is the new Cupra Born! It’s an electric family hatchback that promises a bit of sporting edge, and it’s hoping to compete with alternatives like the VW ID.3 and Hyundai Ioniq 5. And at a glance, the Born certainly looks sportier than the ID.3, with its huge roof spoiler and distinctive side skirts! Up front it has a much sharper face than the ID.3, too, and there are some striking copper-coloured accents for a bit of extra visual wow factor. The Born arguably looks cooler than the ID.3 inside the cabin, as well. It comes with suede-effect upholstery and body-hugging seats that hold you snugly in place around corners. You get a 12-inch infotainment system on the dash with some sharp-looking graphics and plenty of tech, but the accompanying touch sensitive controls are a bit of pain to use. There are two battery options for the Cupra Born. The 50kWh battery has a claimed range of 260miles, and should take 9 hours to charge using a 7kW wall charger. The bigger 77kWh battery pack, meanwhile, comes with a range of up to 340miles and takes 12 hours to charge. Prices for the Cupra Born start at £34,715, rising to £41,975 for the range-topping models. So, should you consider the Cupra Born over the VW ID.3? Stick with Mat to find out! Chapters

New BMW X1: You won’t believe what they’ve done!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNDFEwqQHVQ

Need help buying your next car? Click the following link and my team and I will help you choose your ideal car at a fair price – from Mat Watson! https://bit.ly/Wow-Me-carwow ……………………………………………………. This is the new BMW X1 – and, for the first time ever, you can also get the X1 as a fully-electric car called the BMW iX1! Let’s start off with the X1. It’s had some design tweaks from the previous model, including thinner headlights and more angular brake lights, and comes with the option of huge 20-inch alloy wheels for the first time. The biggest changes come inside the cabin though, where the X1 is completely different to older BMWs because most of the buttons have been removed! The only physical controls are on the steering wheel and floating armrest between the front seats. Instead, you’re meant to control everything by using the ‘Hey BMW’ personal assistant. You can get the new X1 with a range of petrol and diesel engine options, including some with mild-hybrid tech. BMW has also developed two new plug-in hybrid engines for the X1. The entry-level 25e produces 245hp and can make 0-60 in 6.8 seconds, while the quicker 30e version gets 326hp in total and a 0-60mph time of 5.7 seconds. The new all-electric BMW iX1, meanwhile, has dual motors that can produce a combined 313hp and accelerate from 0-60mph in 5.7 seconds. It should have a range of 272 miles, which is more than the range of the Mercedes EQA. The X1 goes on sale later in 2022, with prices starting from just over £35,000 and rising to almost £47,000 for the top-spec 23d M Sport Premiere Pro. Plug-in hybrids and the new electric iX1 will go on sale soon after, with the EV expected to set you back more than £50,000. So, if you’re in the market for a small SUV, could the X1 or iX1 be for you? Stick with Mat to find out! Chapters
