Its two electric motors combine to put down 637hp & 830Nm of torque! Or perhaps the newest car, the Audi RS3 Sportback, could spring a surprise? ……………………………………………………. Introducing the all-new Toyota Yaris Cross! It’s a small SUV version of the regular Toyota Yaris, and Mat’s on hand to find out if this crossover has what it takes to stand out from the crowd against competitors like the Peugeot 2008 and Volkswagen T-Cross! In terms of the design, it’s no surprise that it looks a whole lot similar to the regular Yaris. Sure it’s jacked up and comes equipped with bigger body panels, but the overall look shares a whole load of similarities with the regular small car. It’s the same story on the inside, too, with the same infotainment system and digital dials display as you’d find in the normal Yaris. When it comes to performance, there’s only one engine to choose from – a 1.5-litre 3 cylinder engine that’s also equipped with a self-charging hybrid system that can deliver 114hp & 120Nm of torque. It starts from £22,500, but should you really consider the Yaris Cross over its key rivals? You’ll have to stick with Mat to find out! Chapters:

That’s right, Mat’s brought his BMW M3 along to go up against an entry-level Porsche 911 Carrera to see which is the true track king! So how do they compare? Starting with the BMW, it’s powered by a 3-litre straight-six twin-turbo that can put down 510hp & 650Nm of torque. It’s the heaviest car here, though, tipping the scales at 1730kg. Then we have the entry-level 911. Under the bonnet, you’ll find a 3-litre flat-six twin-turbo that can put down 385hp & 450Nm. So it’s way down on power compared to the BMW, but it’s got one big advantage – it’s 225kg lighter! So what do you think – will the more powerful M3 snatch it? Or will it be a walkover for the 911? ……………………………………………………. It’s time for an America v Germany drag race! We’ve got our hands on two Porsches – the Cayman GT4 and the entry-level 718. Alongside them, we’ve got the Ford Mustang Mach 1. Now you may think it’s a bit of an odd line-up, but when you check out the stats, you’ll see there’s a method in our madness! Let’s start with the GT4. It’s powered by a 4-litre flat-six that can put down 420hp & 420Nm of torque. It’s RWD only and it’s also equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox. In terms of weight, it tips the scales at 1420kg. Alongside it, we have the 718. Now it’s the entry-level, so it’s only powered by a 2-litre flat-four turbocharged engine that puts down 300hp & 380Nm. It’s also RWD, however, it’s the lightest car here, at 1365kg. But that's not all – it's also the only automatic in the line-up! Then finally we have the Mustang. It’s got a HUGE engine – a 5-litre naturally-aspirated V8, no less! It also puts down the most power, with 460hp & 529Nn. However, it’s also the heaviest, weighing in at 1807kg, and just like the GT4, it's a manual. So what do you think – is the Mustang out of the running given the weight difference?
