Lexus's flagship LX SUV has been redesigned for 2022, sporting an upgraded interior and riding on a modernized platform and powered by a twin-turbocharged engine. Based on the new Toyota Land Cruiser—which, sadly, will not be sold in the U.S.—the LX600 takes off-road capability seriously but doesn't skimp on the luxury. The previous generation came with a burly V-8 engine, but the new version will make do with a 409-hp twin-turbo V-6. Four-wheel drive remains standard and the LX can be equipped with a number of off-road goodies, including a height-adjustable suspension system. Lexus richened the new LX600’s interior to compete with plusher contemporaries—large luxury SUVs such as the BMW X7, the Land Rover Range Rover, and the Mercedes-Benz GLS-class. Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The LX600 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V-6 engine that makes 409 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive are both standard. This powertrain launched in the new Toyota Land Cruiser, which shares its mechanical underpinnings with the LX. Given Lexus's penchant for hybrid powertrains, we wouldn't be surprised to see a gas-electric setup under the LX's hood, similar to the one used in the 2022 Tundra pickup, but so far the company has only revealed information on this non-hybrid powertrain. When we get a chance to test-drive the new LX, we'll update this story with details and driving impressions. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Inside, the new LX receives a modern and luxurious makeover, with a wide center console between the front seats that creates a cozy cockpit environment. Quilted leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped dashboard, wood trim, and smoked-chrome accents gives the LX a high-end appearance and luxe ambiance. The entry-level Standard trim comes with room for five across in two rows of seats; the Premium, Luxury, and F Sport trims come with a third row of seats that increases passenger capacity to seven. The top-spec Ultra Luxury model is only offered as a four-seat layout, with dual captain's chairs in the rear divided by a center console, plus rear-seat entertainment displays, wireless smartphone charging capability, and specially designed seats to maximize comfort. Infotainment and Connectivity
The LX's dashboard comes with three standard displays, an 8.0-inch screen for the gauge cluster, a 12.3-incher for the infotainment, and a separate 7.0-inch screen for climate and vehicle controls. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both expected to be standard and could even be offered with wireless connectivity. Wireless charging will be offered, and Lexus says audiophiles will be able to upgrade the stereo to a 25-speaker Mark Levinson surround-sound system.

……………………………………………………. Check out Protrax – https://bit.ly/Protrax-1911 Welcome to the off-road race battle you didn’t know you needed in your life… Until today! Audi RSQ8 vs new Dacia Duster! That’s right, we’re seeing if this awesome Audi performance SUV has what it takes to go toe-to-toe with the cheap & cheerful Dacia Duster through a series of off-road challenges. When it comes to price, there’s a massive gulf between the two. The Duster we have here starts at around £20,000, whereas the RSQ8 comes in at a whopping £107,000!! But that’s not the only difference… When you take a look under the RSQ8’s bonnet, you’ll find a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can deliver 600hp & 800Nm. It’s also equipped with the awesome Quattro all-wheel-drive system, and it’s mightily heavy, weighing around 2,300kg! As for the Duster, it’s a whole lot lighter, tipping the scales at just 1,400kg! And as you’d expect, it’s well down on power, with a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine putting down 115hp & 260Nm. Surely it’ll be an easy win for the Duster, right?! There’s only one way to find out… LET’S DO THIS! Mat’s SUV choice – https://bit.ly/Mats-SUV-Choice …………………………………………………….

2022 Bmw 4 Series Gran Coupe – Exterior Interior and Drive DETAILS

Thanks to KALFSBEEK Bmw BMW hasn't made any major changes to the 4-series coupe and convertible for 2022, but there are a few small ones that warrant a mention. The higher-powered M440i coupe model is now available in a rear-wheel drive configuration and all trims now come with ambient interior lighting as standard. The optional Premium package now includes power lumbar support, a head-up display, and gesture controls for the car's infotainment system. Two new colors are offered—Brooklyn Grey Metallic and Aventurin Red Metallic—while the car's standard faux-leather upholstery is now perforated. We think the turbocharged inline-six in the M440i model will be the enthusiast's choice, but the nearly $11,000 price premium may turn off some buyers. That bump in price comes with a load of additional equipment though, in case you need more reason to justify the cost. The M440i is outfitted with unique M Sport 18-inch wheels with run-flat tires, the M Sport suspension and rear differential, a rear spoiler, a faux-leather wrapped dashboard, and more. A convertible model is also offered but switching to the soft-top body style adds $7500 to the base price. Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The same two overachieving engines offered in the 3-series are available in the 4-series. Models designated 430i are powered by a 255-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. The M440i is powered by a silky-smooth turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that gains an assist from a 48-volt hybrid system to make 382-hp. The 4-series provides a sporty driving experience, courtesy of a retuned suspension, a more-aggressive steering calibration, a wider rear track, and a lower center of gravity than the 3-series sedan. Still, we tested the M440i coupe and came away less impressed with its driving character than its terrific inline-six. Apart from strong brakes that performed well in our 70-to-zero-mph test (149 feet), the Bimmer's rubbery steering and compliant ride didn't deliver the same satisfaction we got from the M340i sedan. During our test drive of an all-wheel drive 430i xDrive model, we noted decent power from the turbocharged four-cylinder but came away with a similar complaint about the car's too-soft suspension. Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The EPA estimates the four-cylinder 430i coupe will earn 26 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. Adding all-wheel drive into the equation drops those figures to 24 and 33 mpg, respectively. The six-cylinder M440i is rated at 22 mpg city and 31 highway. We haven't tested the M440i model on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route, but the 430i xDrive delivered 34 mpg over the 200-mile test. For more information about the 4-series's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Shoppers may not notice much difference between the cabins of the 4-series and the 3-series unless they're in the back seat. The dashboard layout, interior materials, and primary controls look to be identical to the four-door 3-series', although we noticed that the lower roofline in the 4-series gives it a less spacious feel. Trunk space is less generous here than in the 3-series, especially in the convertible model; in our testing, we fit five carry-on suitcases in the trunk of the coupe model, one less than in the 3-series sedan. Infotainment and Connectivity
The 2022 4-series comes with the same standard 8.8-inch and optional 10.3-inch infotainment screens as the 3-series sedan. Both displays run the latest version of BMW's iDrive 7 infotainment software, which pairs an intuitive interface with a console-mounted clickwheel controller for easy use while driving; those who prefer to interact with the display directly can do since both are touchscreens. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and in-dash navigation will all be standard while a 12.3-inch digital gauge display, onboard Wi-Fi, and a wireless smartphone charging pad are optional extras.
