He’s going to take to the track behind the wheel of a Pagani Huayra R Evo Roadster! This track-only hypercar is an absolute monster. It’s powered by a 6-litre naturally-aspirated V12 that produces 900hp and 770Nm of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels only via a 6-speed sequential gearbox, and it only weighs an incredible 1,060kg dry! But then it’s no surprise, given pretty much the entire car is made out of carbon fibre. Oh, and it has an approximate cost of £3,000,000! So, of course, Mat can’t be unleashed straight onto the track. He’s going to have to spend a while testing himself in the specially built racing sim, and then he’ll be given the chance to see how he can handle himself around the famous high-speed Spa corners. What’s more, he’ll also have the opportunity to speak with the founder, owner & chief designer of Pagani – Horacio Pagani! Is this the ultimate track car? There are a couple of rules for this list. For starters, the manufacturer must sell at least two models, and the cars need to be actually available to buy—sold-out cars are ruled out! What’s more, the cars need to be able to accelerate up to 62mph, and any commercial, pick-up truck and van-based MPVs are ruled out! Given this criteria, it’s no surprise to find supercars such as McLaren and Lamborghini ranked quite low in this list. After all, all the cars they manufacture are quick!
