……………………………………………………. Who’s ready for an EV v petrol v diesel drag race?! Now you may look at this line-up and think Mat's finally lost it – but trust us, this race will be more interesting than you think! Starting with the e-tron, it’s powered by 2 electric motors to produce 408hp & 664Nm of torque. It’s pretty heavy though, weighing in just shy of 2.5 tonnes! It’ll weigh down your bank account as well, with a starting price from £79,000! As for the Type R, it’s powered by a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine to deliver 320hp & 400Nm. So it’s down on power compared to the Audi, but then again, it does weigh just 1,380kg – over 1.1 tonnes less than the EV SUV! Then finally we have the M40d, which pretty much sits in the middle of these two. It's powered by a 3-litre straight-six diesel to deliver 330hp & 680Nm of torque, and when it comes to weight, it sits at about 1,900kg – so pretty much bang in the middle! So they all roll up with pretty different stats, but how do you think this will play out? Will the most powerful e-tron snatch it? Or will the super light Type R beat them both? ……………………………………………………. This is the all-new Audi Q4 e-tron! It’s an all-new, all-electric SUV meant to compete with the likes of the Volkswagen ID.4 & Skoda Enyaq, and Mat’s here to see if it has what it takes to become an EV SUV class-leader! When it comes to the style stakes, there’s no denying that this new Q4 can compete with the best of them. It’s available in this guise or as a Sportback, and the exterior comes covered in cool creases and well designed bumpers. It’s also super stylish on the inside too. As for performance, there are three options to get your hands on – the 30, 40 or 50. We’ve got our hands on the S-Line 40 for this review, but the range topper is the 50, which comes equipped with dual motors and the ability to produce 300hp. It’s also packing an 82kWh battery pack, which is good for a claimed range of 298 miles. There’s one issue though (for us UK viewers, at least)… The price starts at just over £40,000, which means those of us in the UK miss out on the Government’s UK EV grant – a saving of £2,500! With that in mind, should you choose the Q4 e-tron, or go for something cheaper instead? It’s time to find out! …………………………………………………….

We’ve got three tuned cars going head-to-head over the quarter mile – and their stats are absolutely insane! Mat’s in an Audi TT RS, which is packing a 2.5-litre 5 cylinder turbocharged engine which can pump out an absolutely insane 1,100hp & 1,000Nm of torque! Next up we have Yianni in the Audi R8. Normally it would be powered by a 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10, but it’s had two turbos added to it, and as a result can pump out 1,200hp! And then finally we have the Porsche 911. Normally the 911 would be powered by a 3.8-litre flat-six… But this has now been increased to a 4.2-litre twin-turbo flat-six, and as a result it can now put down 1,100hp & 1,200Nm of torque! So, can you pick a winner? There’s only one thing left to do… LET’S RACE! …………………………………………………….

Coupe SUVs are oh-so popular these days, so it's no surprise that BMW is releasing a coupe version of their biggest SUV to date, the X7. While it may not have the ability to squeeze in 7 seats like the X7, you can still guarantee that the X8 will be an absolute behemoth once it hits the streets! And of course, you know what that means… If there's an X8 coming, then that means there's probably an X8M in the works, too! It's likely to use the same 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 as you find in the X6M & M8, but we're expecting it to also come packed with hybrid technology and produce up to 850hp!! Of course, all that power won't be cheap, and we think an X8M is unlikely to cost less than £120,000!! But will it be worth it? It’s the extreme version of the Dodge Challenger, and trust us, it’s absolutely wild! Let’s face it, there’s one thing we need to discuss first when talking about this huge American muscle car – the engine! Under the bonnet, you’ll find a 6.2-litre supercharged V8. In the regular challenger, it’ll pump out 707hp… But in the Demon, that’s been increased to an almighty 808hp! Oh, and it also puts down a humungous 972Nm of torque, too! Think that might be too much power for this RWD muscle car? Well guess again – it’s claimed that the Demon can run the quarter-mile in less than 10 seconds! ……………………………………………………. It’s time for a FWD hot hatch showdown! Mat’s in the Renaultsport Megane Trophy, and he’s lining up against the Golf GTI Clubsport & Civic Type R! So how do they compare on paper? Well first up we have the Megane, which is powered by a 1.8-litre turbocharged 4 cylinder to provide 300hp & 420Nm of torque. It also weighs in at 1,368kg. Alongside the Renault we have the VW Golf GTI Clubsport. It’s hiding a slightly larger 2-litre turbocharged 4 cylinder under the bonnet, but it's power output is down on the Megane, with the ability to deliver 300hp and 400Nm. It’s also slightly heavier, topping the scales at 1,461kg. Then finally we have the Japanese contender – the Honda Civic Type R. It’s got the same size engine as the Golf, and however it’s slightly up on power, putting down 320hp & 400Nm. It’s also the lightest car here, at 1,358kg. There’s one key differential here though – while the Megane & GTI are automatics, the Type R’s a manual! Will that be the key difference?
