Meet the most hardcore BMW M3 you can buy – the all-new BMW M3 CS! Limited to around 2,000 units, the M3 CS comes with a whole load of upgrades over the standard M3 Competition. The question is, should you pay the £116,000 starting price? Well, let’s start by checking out the design. On the outside, the M3 CS is absolutely covered in carbon! Up front, you get a carbon fibre bonnet and a more aggressive, carbon fibre bumper. There’s also exclusive red piping around the grille. Along the side, you’ll find unique alloy wheel designs, while around the back there’s a huge carbon diffuser. The roof is also made of carbon, naturally… Step inside and the carbon theme continues. You get carbon bucket seats as standard, along with a smattering of carbon across the centre console and dash. You also get an Alcantara-covered steering wheel, red stitching throughout the cabin and BMW’s all-new infotainment system. Under the bonnet, you’ll find the same 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six as in the standard car. However, BMW has reworked the ECU, and as a result, the power output has increased from 510hp to 550hp. Torque remains the same, at 650Nm, and power is still sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic torque converter gearbox. So what do you think – is it worth the extra £35,000? We’ve got a Porsche 911 Turbo S going up against a Nissan GT-R and an Audi R8, but they’re all putting out a whole lot more power than they normally would! Let’s start with the Audi R8. Normally it comes equipped with a 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 that can put down 620hp and 580Nm. However, it’s had a twin-turbo added to it, and as a result, it can now produce an incredible 950hp and 800Nm! It still weighs in at around 1,595kg, and with the tune, it costs £135,000. Next up we have the GT-R. It’s packing a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6. Normally you’d expect it to put down 550hp and 620Nm of torque, however, it’s had a whole load of work done to it, and it can now produce 1,000hp and 1,100Nm! It’s a fair bit heavier than the R8, at 1,860kg, and it comes in at around £125,000. Then finally we have the 911 Turbo. It’s still powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six, however, the power output has been increased from 650hp & 800Nm to 888hp and 1,000Nm! However, the car was originally bought well above the asking price, so even though the tune costs less than the other cars, the total price of the car is over £206,000!! So how will this one play out? The Porsche may have the least power, but will the epic launch system propel it to victory? Or could one of the other two snatch it?
