FIRST DRIVE: 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona! Next-Gen Muscle Car Driven

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vg6ys0D8C2o

This is a seismic moment for the American muscle car, as this new 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona is electric… Yes, combustion versions are coming – in the guise of twin-turbo 3.0-litre six-cylinder models – but the headline act for the new Charger is no longer a gas-fed V8. Not that the new electric Charger will be short on power. The EV side of the offering kick offs with 496hp in the Dodge Charger Daytona R/T, rises to 670hp in the Daytona Scat Pack driven here, and will climb higher still when next year’s Banshee model appears. 0-60mph and quarter-mile times will trounce their petrol equivalents. But is that better? This is now a four-wheel drive Charger, one sitting on the new Stellantis STLA Large platform, with a 100.5kWh battery pack to lug around. The headline power figures and acceleration times might be impressive, but what about the usual EV bugbears of excessive weight and the absence of noise? Can a silent muscle car succeed? Over to Top Gear Magazine’s Associate Editor, Tom Ford, to find out… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WANT MORE TOP GEAR?

FIRST DRIVE: Hyundai RN24 – An Ioniq 5 N on Steroids!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_CkztJ4PHk

N Drift, N Sound+ and N e-Shift are all silly names, but they are also all features on the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N that help make it the benchmark performance EV. They were also all technologies first showcased on the Hyundai RN22e concept, an ‘experimental rolling lab’ that gave us a glimpse of how Hyundai wanted to make future electric vehicles fun to drive. Now there’s a new ‘experimental rolling lab’, the RN24, and it’s a mash-up of the 5 N’s electric tech and Hyundai’s WRC title-winning i20 N Rally1 Hybrid racer. If you want a glimpse of how Hyundai will up the excitement ante in its next generation of EVs, this is it… Highlights include an electric all-wheel drive system designed to mimic that of the rally car – but without expensive motorsport components. And a rally-aping hydraulic handbrake – only it’s not hydraulic and instead uses regen brake force for full rear-wheel lock up. There’s more pumped-in sound too, a short wheelbase, less weight… all the good stuff, basically. Over to Top Gear’s Contributing Editor, Jethro Bovingdon, for the lowdown… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WANT MORE TOP GEAR?

Koenigsegg Jesko Attack: 1578bhp vs TG Track! | Stig Laps

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rmpYZNgPEY

Stig Laps are back! That’s right, The Stig is once again roaming free at Dunsfold, and in this new eight-part series we’ve gathered, well, eight cars of course, to set new timed Power Laps at the Top Gear Test Track. Up first is the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack. It’s the slower-in-a-straight-line variation of the Jesko, as the Absolut version is wingless and faster flat-out. Yet that’s good here, because this Attack version boasts up to 1400kg of downforce, and with 1578bhp as well, that makes it a very tasty track weapon indeed. However, can it get near the current road-legal lap record holder, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, which blitzed around in 1 min 11.3 seconds? Over to Top Gear’s Editor-in-Chief, Jack Rix, and The Stig, to find out… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WANT MORE TOP GEAR?

New Toyota Land Cruiser vs Defender, G-Class & Grenadier

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WDk8ueDqG8

When the going gets tough, who’s toughest? That’s the question Top Gear set out to answer when we sent the new Toyota Land Cruiser off into the Welsh wilderness together with the facelifted Mercedes G-class, the latest Land Rover Defender, and the 4×4 that apes ye olde Defender, the Ineos Grenadier. We sent these four 4x4s clambering over rocks, wading through rivers, and generally doing the sort of stuff they’re designed for but never actually do in the hands of most buyers. Which clawed its way out of the mud ahead of its rivals? Top Gear Magazine’s Ollie Marriage and Tom Ford are your referees… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WANT MORE TOP GEAR?

FIRST LOOK: Jaguar Type 00 – Let The Chaos Begin!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzGlTULmheI

This is the Type 00, a concept car that represents a hard reset for the Jaguar brand. Why? Well, Jag’s in such trouble it’s stopped selling cars until 2026 while it reboots with a range of high-end EVs that will chase Bentley buyers and the like. We’ll see the first production car under this new philosophy – an electric four-door GT – in late 2025, but for now, the Type 00 represents the line in the sand between Jaguar of old and what’s to come. ‘Exuberant Modernism’ is the name of the design language that the Type 00 ushers in, as Jaguar promises future models will ‘Copy Nothing’. Over to Top Gear’s Jason Barlow, to make sense of it all… 00:00 Intro

Ferrari 12Cilindri vs Aston Martin Vanquish: Super GT Battle!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmAKsyDov5I

Once upon a time the McLaren F1 boasted a mind-bending 627hp and was the pinnacle of the supercar world. Yet here we are in late 2024 with a Ferrari 12Cilindri and an Aston Martin Vanquish that each sport around two hundred horsepower more than the iconic Big Mac! In an era when combustions engines keep being read their last rites, that we’ve got two big twelve-cylinder motors not only alive, but producing ever most preposterous amounts of power, is a reason to celebrate. Which we could do – but when two so-called ‘super GTs’ arrive so quickly one after the other, rather than let them rest on their laurels we’d sooner find out which was best. So, before the snow and ice of winter descended upon Italy, we took a yellow Ferrari and a red Aston Martin to a rather special location. Top Gear’s Contributing Editor, Jethro Bovingdon, is your referee… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WANT MORE TOP GEAR?
