The No. 11 team was issued a safety penalty after the loss of added ballast in the opening pace laps at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Three crew members, including Chris Gabehart, Hamlin’s crew chief, have been suspended for the next four NASCAR cup series events, through June 10.
