Change your car with Carwow: https://bit.ly/Change-Your-Car-0810 We’ve got our hands on a Porsche 996 911 Turbo S and it’s going up against… A Skoda Superb?! Think it sounds like an unfair match-up? Well, let’s take a closer look at the stats. Starting with the Porsche, it’s powered by a 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six that produces 450hp and 620Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 5-speed automatic gearbox, and the car weighs 1,630kg. When new, the 911 Turbo cost around £101,000. Then we come to the Skoda. Normally, its 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo produces 280hp and 350Nm of torque. However, this Superb has been tuned! As a result, it now puts down 477hp and 661Nm! Power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch, and it weighs slightly more than the Porsche, tipping the scales at 1,670kg. So the Skoda has more power than the Porsche, but it’s slightly heavier! So can an all-new family-friendly Skoda really take down a Porsche? There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE!
