A V8 pick-up truck is the embodiment of the USA on wheels. Huge, powerful, and not intimidated by anything. Ford’s Raptor and the Dodge Ram TRX take the truck into new realms of power, performance and off-road ability… but that’s never enough for some people. People like Texan John Hennessey, who’s used the Ram TRX as the starting point for what they call the Mammoth 1000: the most powerful road-legal truck in the world. With 1,012 supercharged horsepower on tap, Baja-spec suspension and bumpers that could knock over buildings, it’s surely the most versatile, apocalypse-proof car on Earth.
