Starting with the BMW, it’s powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six that can deliver 510hp and 650Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and it tips the scales at 1,865kg. If you’re looking to buy one of these, it’ll set you back at least £88,000. Then we have the AMG. It’s packing a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet, and this can produce 612hp and 850Nm. It rolls up equipped with a 9-speed automatic gearbox to send power to all four wheels, and it’s the heavier of the two cars, weighing in at 1,940kg. The most powerful Range Rover ever created is finally here, and Mat’s about to see if it’s worth the £169,000+ price tag! Starting off with the design, this thing is absolutely plastered in carbon fibre! There’s a carbon fibre bonnet, and carbon vents across most of the front end. There’s also an updated bumper and splitter compared to the standard Range Rover. The car also comes with optional carbon fibre alloys and a little side skirt along the car. Around the back, you’ll find quad tailpipes, but all-in-all the car still pairs elegance with sporty styling well. Step inside and the SV is just as luxurious as the regular Range Rover. There’s leather throughout the cabin, as well as Alcantara on the roof lining. The SV also comes with carbon fibre-backed sports seats as well as a ceramic gear selector, and of course all of the usual luxuries like a fridge in the centre console and soft-close doors. Under the bonnet, the 5-litre supercharged V8 has been swapped for BMW’s glorious 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 – the same V8 from the M5 CS, no less! As a result the SV now puts down 635hp and 750Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and the car can hit 60mph in just 3.6 seconds. It’s a cheap and cheerful electric car that isn’t currently on sale in the UK. The question is, even with a £16,000 price tag, should you consider it over other small electric competitors? When it comes to materials, it’s fair to say the Spring isn’t exactly the most robust car. The doors seem relatively flimsy, and when you step inside don’t expect to find any soft touch, high-quality materials here! Cheap plastic covers the majority of the cabin, and it doesn’t even come with any cup holders! We have the Extreme edition for this review, which comes with fake leather seats, although the quality doesn’t feel all that good. When it comes to the battery & range, the Spring comes with a 25kWh battery pack. In the entry-level car this is good for a claimed range of 143 miles, while in the Extreme edition, it drops slightly to 137 miles. Naturally, the performance figures aren’t anything to write home about. The entry-level delivers just 45hp and hits 60mph in 19 seconds, while the Extreme has 65hp and hits 60mph in over 13 seconds.
