The Red Bull F1 car is back, and it’s facing off against two incredible road-going hypercars – the Porsche 918 Spyder and a Bugatti Veyron! So let’s see how these three incredible cars compare. Starting with the 918 Spyder, it’s powered by a 4.6-litre naturally-aspirated V8 coupled with two electric motors. Combined, they can produce 887hp and 1,280Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed automatic gearbox, and the car tips the scales at 1,674kg. Then we have the Veyron. It’s equipped with an incredible 8-litre quad-turbo W16 engine, and this can put down 1,001hp and 1,250Nm! Power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,888kg. Then finally we have the F1 car, driven by Red Bull’s reserve driver, Liam Lawson. He’s driving Sebastian Vettel’s Championship-winning RB8, which is equipped with a 2.4-litre V8 that can produce 800hp. It’s easily the lightest car here, at around 700kg, and all power is sent to the rear wheels only. So will the F1 car sweep these hypercars to the side?
