Thanks to everyone for lending us their cars for this race: – BMW M2: @AUTOIDTV – Audi RS3: https://www.instagram.com/autotorque/ The new BMW M2 is HERE, and we’re putting git up against some of its biggest rivals! The question is, does BMW’s smallest M car have a chance against the likes of AMG, Audi & Porsche? Well, it’s time to find out! Starting with the Audi, it’s powered by Audi’s glorious 2.5-litre 5 cylinder turbo engine that can produce 400hp and 500Nm of torque. This power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed automatic gearbox. It weighs in at 1,570kg, and if you’re looking to pick one up it’ll cost you around £54,000. To its right we have the recently revised Mercedes-AMG A45 S. It’s packing a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo under the bonnet that can put down 421hp and 500Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and it tips the scales at 1,550kg. It’s a bit more expensive than the Audi, too, costing around £63,000. On the far side we have the Porsche 718 Boxster GTS. It’s the most expensive car here, coming in at £75,300! What’s more, it’s also the least powerful car here, with the 4-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six producing 400hp and 430Nm. This power is only sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, however, it’s also the lightest car here, coming in at just 1,435kg. Then finally we have the all-new BMW M2. It’s equipped with a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six, and as a result, it’s the most powerful car here, putting down 460hp and 550Nm of torque! Just like the Porsche this power is sent to the rear wheels only via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and a new one today will cost around 1,720kg. However, it’s by far the heaviest car here, tipping the scales at 1,720kg! So how will this one play out – will the weight difference prove decisive? Or will the M2’s extra power push it to victory? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE! Mat’s deal on one of these cars: https://bit.ly/Mats-Choice-08-07 Sell your car with carwow: https://bit.ly/Buy-Sell-WOW

We’ve got our hands on the all-new Toyota Prius! Now we know in recent years the Prius has had the tag of being a bit of a lame car. However, we think the new Prius is absolutely gorgeous, and may now be considered as one of Toyota’s coolest cars! But what’s so great about it? Well, let’s take a closer look. Starting with the design, we are getting some serious Lamborghini vibes from the back! With the swooping headline and the glass area around the taillights, we are getting some serious sports car vibes! Along the side you have smart integrated door handles for the back seats, and then up at the front you’ve got the daytime running lights and headlights combined into a cool design. All-in-all, this looks totally different to any Prius we’ve seen before… And that’s a good thing! Step inside, and the cool design themes continue! There’s a small digital dial screen for the driver and a large infotainment screen in the centre of the dashboard. Thankfully it also comes with a number of physical buttons, so climate control can also be managed through these rather than through the screen. You’ll also find a good bit of storage throughout the cabin, although we also encountered some scratchy plastics. But then again, what would you expect when the car cost from just over $27,000. When it comes to performance, there’s only one engine choice available. It’s a 2-litre naturally-aspirated 4 cylinder, coupled with an electric motor. In the entry-level car this drivers the front-wheels only and provides 197hp. It is possible to get an all-wheel drive edition, but the horsepower is almost identical, increasing to just 199hp! There’s also a plug-in hybrid variant available, which can produce 223hp while also driving for up to 40 miles on electric power alone. Sadly though, even though the new Prius looks great, it won’t be coming to the UK. But the question is, do you agree with Mat – has Toyota finally made the Prius cool?! Let us know in the comments! Meet the Mercedes CLE! It’s an all-new car that rolls up as a replacement for the C-Class Coupe, C-Class Cabriolet, E-Class Coupe & E-Class Cabriolet… That’s right, four cars rolled into one! The question is, does this approach offer enough to strike fear into BMW and Audi? Well let’s take a look over the car. Starting with the design, it’s certainly pretty striking! Up top there’s a newly-designed, big grille, which is flanked either side by newly-designed, thinner headlights. Around the side you’ll find some cool alloy designs, and around the back Mercedes has gone for a simpler design than other new cars in its line-up… But that’s no bad thing! Sure, the side profile looks relatively similar to the outgoing C-Class, but all-in-all there’s no denying this is a good-looking car! Step inside and the interior seems all-too familiar to the current C-Class. But just like the side profile, this is no bad thing, as the interior is absolutely gorgeous! Not only will you find a huge infotainment screen stretching up from the centre console to the dash, you’ll also be treated to a number of colour combinations, along with a cabin swamped with soft-touch materials. This is one seriously impressive interior! When it comes to engines, there are a number of petrol and diesel options to choose from. The entry-level is the CLE 200, which is a 2-litre 4 cylinder coupled with an EV motor to deliver around 200hp. The range-topper will be the CLE 450, which should be able to deliver 381hp from a 3-litre 6-cylinder engine! It should also propel you to 60mph in about 4.4-seconds. What’s more, we expect an AMG edition to be unveiled in the future, which is likely to come equipped with the same 6-cylinder engine that’s being developed for the forthcoming E63. With that in mind, we expect it to be able to produce at least 700hp!! So what do you think, was this a masterstroke by Mercedes to combine these cars? Or should they have kept the C & E-Class coupes separate? Let us know below! Chapters

Thanks to https://www.instagram.com/r44erd/ for lending us their M3! It’s time for the drag race you didn’t realise you needed… Until today! We’ve got our hands on an all-new, 1,111hp Lucid Air Dream Performance, and it’s about to go head-to-head against a BMW M3! So normally you would say this will be a slam dunk for the Lucid, after all, a stock BMW M3 comes equipped with a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six which is good for 510hp and 650Nm. However, while this M3 comes with the same engine, it’s been tuned and can now deliver an impressive 750hp and 900Nm! All this power is sent through the same 8-speed automatic gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,780kg. So then we have the Lucid. It’s equipped with two electric motors, and they combine to produce an eye-watering 1,111hp and 1,390Nm of torque. But of course, being an EV, it’s pretty damn heavy, tipping the scales at 2,383kg. It’s also SO much more expensive than the BMW, rolling up with a price tag of over £193,000!! So will the more powerful Lucid snatch the W? Or will the weight difference prove decisive? Thanks to everyone for lending us cars for this video: – Audi A3: https://www.sixt.co.uk/
- BMW 1 Series: https://zen.auto/ When it comes to luxurious small family cars, it doesn’t get better than the Mercedes A-Class, Audi A3, BMW 1 Series and Volkswagen Golf. The question is if you’re in the market for a car such as this, which should you go for? Well thankfully Mat’s got his hands on all four and he’s going to put them all to the test! So let’s take a look at how the four compare. Starting with the Mercedes, it’s recently had a mid-life facelift, so it comes with a few changes compared to the original 2018 release. There’s a redesigned lower bumper, a bigger grille, and a new steering wheel on the inside. Apart from the clearly fake exhausts around the back, it looks pretty smart, and the infotainment & digital dial display is easily the best of the four cars here. When it comes to price, the range kicks off at £32,000. Next up we have the Audi, which comes with a cheaper starting price than the Mercedes, at £27,000. When it comes to the design it looks pretty smart from the outside, with a huge grille up front which is flanked by two sharp, well-designed headlights. There are creases around the side, and it looks relatively plain around the back. Step inside and although the infotainment system is quite good, there are lots of scratchy plastics to be found throughout the cabin. The BMW’s next in line, and it has one thing no other cars here have – real exhaust tips on show! All-in-all the 1 Series looks quite smart on the outside, although we’re not a fan of the grille up front Thankfully though the interior quality makes up for this, with high-quality materials found throughout the cabin along with a high-quality infotainment system on the dash. However, the same can’t be said for the digital dials, which seem a bit basic and dark. When it comes to price, the 1 Series kicks off at around £28,000. Then finally we have the cheapest car here, with the Golf range starting at around £26,500. On the outside, it’s unmistakably a Golf, and although we really like the design around the rear and side, we think the front end could be the worst-looking of the four cars here! Thankfully the interior looks really smart and clean, but these looks come at a price, with nearly all functionality coming through the infotainment screen… What’s so wrong with physical buttons?! So can you pick a winner, or are the four too evenly matched? Let us know which you would pick in the comments, or stick around and join Mat for this all-new group test! Chapters
