FIRST DRIVE: Hyundai Santa Fe – Epic 3000-Mile Test

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_k8Wu1Zw1g

Top Gear Magazine doesn’t do things half-heartedly. For instance, the McLaren 750S had to triumph against the likes of the Porsche 911 S/T and Aston Martin Valkyrie before it was awarded our 2024 ‘Performance Car of the Year’ title. And before we bestowed the 2024 ‘SUV of the Year’ crown on the Hyundai Santa Fe, we took it on a 3000-mile adventure across New Zealand, submitting it not just to all types of terrain, but all types of tests too. Over to Top Gear Magazine’s Head of Car Testing, Ollie Marriage, to get some miles under his belt… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WANT MORE TOP GEAR?

Ferrari F80 vs McLaren W1 vs Porsche Mission X: New Holy Trinity Explained

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ue0nCQx__dc

A decade or so on from the fuss and furore that occurred when Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche all launched hybrid hypercars – the LaFerrari, P1 and 918 Spyder, respectively – the trio are at it again. This ‘second coming’ of the so-called ‘Holy Trinity’ has been long awaited – and we’ll have to wait a little longer until they all reach production fruition. But, in the meantime, given Top Gear has seen and sat in the new Ferrari F80, new McLaren W1, and the Porsche Mission X concept, we thought we’d put together a little compare-and-contrast video. Here then, is Top Gear Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Jack Rix, and Head of Car Testing, Ollie Marriage, sorting through the similarities and differences between the F80, W1 and Mission X… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WANT MORE TOP GEAR?

If Pagani Made Restomods…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24bkFNTUgUs

The best restored and modified cars have always been pricey (see Eagle, and subsequently Singer) but as the restomod market becomes a) ever more saturated, and b) ever more expensive, how do you establish yourself over and above your rivals? If you’re Kimera Automobili, the Lancia-focused Italian company founded by ex-rally driver Luca Betti, then the first part of the plan was to build the sublime EVO37. Making a good car goes a long way! But part two is now in play, in the guise of ‘Villa Kimera’, a converted 17th-century palatial country pad. In the past it’s hosted Italian royalty (both nobility and footballers) and now it is, for want of a better phrase, Kimera’s clubhouse. It’s gunning for the same aura as Pagani’s Atelier and Bugatti’s Château Saint Jean, so join Top Gear Magazine’s Associate Editor, Jason Barlow, for a tour… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WANT MORE TOP GEAR?

Ariel Atom 4R: Faster Than 500bhp Atom V8? | Stig Laps

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y96Uk5RoWx8

Stig Laps are back! That’s right, The Stig is once again roaming free at Dunsfold, and in this eight-part series we’ve gathered, well, eight cars, to set new timed Power Laps at the Top Gear Test Track. So far, we’ve seen the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack, Ford SuperVan 4.2 and Porsche 911 GT3 RS set lap times, all wildly different types of vehicles, but all with huge big splitters and wings sprouting from them. Today’s contender is no different! It’s the Ariel Atom 4R, and this particular one has had many options thrown at it, including carbon wings and panels and a pneumatic six-speed sequential gearbox. This one's on forged wheels and steel discs, but you can have those in carbon too. It costs about £140,000 with all options, almost double the standard 4R. But what price progress? Thirteen years ago a first-generation Atom fitted with a 500bhp V8 blitzed the TG track in 1:15.1. This new one might have an inferior power-to-weight ratio and half the cylinders, but brakes, tyres and aero have come a long way. Over to Top Gear’s Editor-in-Chief, Jack Rix, and The Stig… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WANT MORE TOP GEAR?

FIRST LOOK: Rodin FZero – 1500bhp Single-Seat V10 Madness!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UyIqQzg36U

Faster than an F1 car! Well, we’ve heard that claim before, but New Zealand-based entrepreneur David Dicker and his self-funded Rodin Cars outfit are laser-focused on that goal, to the extent that the Red Bull RB17and Adrian Newey might not have everything their own way. The car in question is the FZero, a single-seat, closed-canopy, closed-wheel, all-carbon spaceship, with a bespoke twin-turbo V10 at its heart. In production guise, Rodin is aiming for over 1500bhp, 3000kg of downforce, and a 698kg kerb weight – which comfortably undercuts an F1 car! And although you might scoff, Rodin is a company that counts a racetrack and an engine foundry among its own facilities, while Dicker has the passion (and resources) to see it through to fruition. Porsche 911 GT3 RS: Nürburgring King vs Top Gear Track! | Stig Laps

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJN6Kn6OxUs

Stig Laps are back! That’s right, The Stig is once again roaming free at Dunsfold, and in this eight-part series we’ve gathered, well, eight cars, to set new timed Power Laps at the Top Gear Test Track. So far, we’ve seen the 1578bhp Koenigsegg Jesko Attack and 2000bhp+ Ford SuperVan 4.2 set lap times, and this time out we’ve got the Nürburgring King: the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Sure, the Mercedes AMG One might be a little faster at that well-known German circuit, yet not much else is because of the Porsche’s active aero (have you noticed the rear wing?!) and trick suspension that can be adjusted corner-to-corner by dials on the steering wheel. The GT3 RS set a 6 minute and 49 second time at the Nürburgring in 2022, which shows the power of downforce – but what lap time can it do on our turf? Over to Top Gear’s Editor-in-Chief, Jack Rix, and The Stig… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WANT MORE TOP GEAR?
