Porsche 911 GT3 RS: Nürburgring King vs Top Gear Track! | Stig Laps

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJN6Kn6OxUs

Stig Laps are back! That’s right, The Stig is once again roaming free at Dunsfold, and in this eight-part series we’ve gathered, well, eight cars, to set new timed Power Laps at the Top Gear Test Track. So far, we’ve seen the 1578bhp Koenigsegg Jesko Attack and 2000bhp+ Ford SuperVan 4.2 set lap times, and this time out we’ve got the Nürburgring King: the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Sure, the Mercedes AMG One might be a little faster at that well-known German circuit, yet not much else is because of the Porsche’s active aero (have you noticed the rear wing?!) and trick suspension that can be adjusted corner-to-corner by dials on the steering wheel. The GT3 RS set a 6 minute and 49 second time at the Nürburgring in 2022, which shows the power of downforce – but what lap time can it do on our turf? Over to Top Gear’s Editor-in-Chief, Jack Rix, and The Stig… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WANT MORE TOP GEAR?

FIRST DRIVE: TWR Supercat – 650bhp V12 Jag XJS On The Road!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxgzrA4CWDk

What you’re looking at is the first finished TWR Supercat prototype – and we’ve just driven it in California, USA. As a reminder, 88 of these beasts are being built (a reference to the TWR Jaguar Le Mans win in 1988) and with the first batch coming in 2025, TWR will actually build more cars next year than Jaguar itself. Strange, but true! Anyway, the starting point for a Supercat is an old Jaguar XJS, to which TWR gives it the restomod treatment. There are chassis and brake upgrades, of course, and a new interior with mod cons. But the most noteworthy amends are the widened and be-winged all-carbon body. And the engine, which starts as an original 5.3-litre V12, but then gets bored out to 5.6 litres, dry sumped, equipped with a new cylinder head, new valve train, billet cams, oh, and a supercharger and charge cooling system. TWR reckons on north of 650bhp and 516lb ft… How then, does this prototype TWR Supercat drive? Ford SuperVan 4.2: How Fast Can A 2000bhp Transit Go? | Stig Laps

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTLUGNFugC4

Stig Laps are back! That’s right, The Stig is once again roaming free at Dunsfold, and in this eight-part series we’ve gathered, well, eight cars of course, to set new timed Power Laps at the Top Gear Test Track. In the season premiere we put the road-legal lap record on the line, as the 1578bhp Koenigsegg Jesko Attack went chasing the Ferrari SF90 Stradale’s time of 1 min 11.3 seconds. This time around, we’re going after the non-road-legal record, which was set by Renault’s R24 F1 car, way back in 2004 when it dipped below the magic minute. In the damp! In remains the fastest thing on four wheels around the Top Gear Test Track. Or does it… Two decades on a man in a van, or rather The Stig in the Ford SuperVan 4.2, could beat it. This electric Transit features four motors, over 2000bhp, almost 2000kg downforce at 150mph, and was specially built to dominate Pikes Peak. More recently, it broke the lap record at Bathurst and won the 2004 Goodwood Hill Climb Shootout. FIRST LOOK: Aston Martin Valhalla – 1064bhp, Half-Price Hypercar!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1_8UtwVIEY

This is the new Valhalla, the first series-production, mid-engined Aston Martin supercar (as the Valkyrie was somewhat of a limited-run special). Said mid-mounted engine is a 817bhp 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, ably assisted by three electric motors, taking the combined output of the PHEV powertrain to 1064bhp and 811lb ft. Four-wheel drive (with two of the three motors powering the front axle) helps get the 0-62mph time down to a scant 2.5 seconds, while the tub is carbonfibre, and active front and rear aero generates more than 600kg of downforce between 149mph and the (limited) 217mph max speed. Only 999 will be built, and prices start at £850k. That’s twice the price of Ferrari’s (aluminium) SF90, but half the price of the recently revealed Ferrari F80 and McLaren W1 hypercars. So, is the Valhalla stacking up to be an overpriced rival to the SF90? Or is it the 4WD son-of-Valkyrie that is going to give the F80 and W1 nightmares for a fraction of the price? The Secrets Of ALL Bugatti’s Top Speed ‘World Record’ Hypercars!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEBO3ZuNtQo

Veyron! Another Veyron! Chiron! Mistral! This orange and black quartet are Bugatti’s top speed ‘World Record’ cars – and this is the only time all four examples of such models have ever been together. Such a public gathering will only happen in the future at the behest of this Mistral’s owner, too. See, while there are multiples of the (deep breath) Veyron 16.4 Super Sport World Record Edition, Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Edition and Chiron Super Sport 300+ – and said owner has one of each – there is only one W16 Mistral World Record Car. So, with this specially commissioned one-of-one Mistral still warm from its 282mph top-speed world record run earlier that day, we grabbed Bugatti’s Director of Design, Frank Heyl, for this once-in-a-lifetime walkaround. FIRST DRIVE: 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona! Next-Gen Muscle Car Driven

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vg6ys0D8C2o

This is a seismic moment for the American muscle car, as this new 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona is electric… Yes, combustion versions are coming – in the guise of twin-turbo 3.0-litre six-cylinder models – but the headline act for the new Charger is no longer a gas-fed V8. Not that the new electric Charger will be short on power. The EV side of the offering kick offs with 496hp in the Dodge Charger Daytona R/T, rises to 670hp in the Daytona Scat Pack driven here, and will climb higher still when next year’s Banshee model appears. 0-60mph and quarter-mile times will trounce their petrol equivalents. But is that better? This is now a four-wheel drive Charger, one sitting on the new Stellantis STLA Large platform, with a 100.5kWh battery pack to lug around. The headline power figures and acceleration times might be impressive, but what about the usual EV bugbears of excessive weight and the absence of noise? Can a silent muscle car succeed?
