FIRST LOOK: VW’s 2024 California Camper Van! | Top Gear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD2coVgw1Ms

Did the best camper just get even better? This is the new California based on the current T7 Multivan. Admittedly it is still a ‘concept’, but if you base the functional stuff off what’s already available in the MPV Multivan, there’s are plenty of options. Engines are likely to be a 148bhp, 2.0-litre diesel that’s probably going to be the most popular choice, but also the option of 1.5 and 2.0-litre petrols and a 1.4-litre, 215bhp plug-in hybrid. The Multivan brings with it a bit more dynamic ability than the Caravelle it replaces, as well as more refinement, a whole host of more advanced driver assistance systems and other gadgets. Still recognisably a California, but based on the newer and more advanced platform, with all the good stuff baked in. There’s no pricing yet, and we’ve not driven it, but this looks like an absolute belter. Given the current pricing of this type of VW product, there’s likely to be a starting price of around £70k and rising from there. But that’s cheap for a house, right? Top Gear Magazine’s Tom Ford takes a closer look. Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WATCH MORE TOP GEAR:

Maserati MCXtrema: Secrets Behind The Most EXTREME Maserati Ever! | Top Gear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dog6-BLPnbw

Formerly known as Project24, the MCXtrema does exactly what it says on the tin – it’s the most extreme thing that Maserati could come up with using the bones of the MC20. And the 62 examples that are set to be built can only be used on track. You can see why with just one look at that bodywork, can’t you? There are narrow lights up front and an aggressive front end, while out back it’s all about the wing and fin. We love how different the MCXtrema looks to the road-going MC20. It should drive pretty differently too. Not least because the 3.0-litre Nettuno V6 now has new turbos, a new intake and a different exhaust system for a total of 730bhp. So, sit back, and let Jack Rix be your guide to Maserati's new track monster. Cool thing, huh? Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WATCH MORE TOP GEAR:

Pininfarina B95: World’s Fastest Car… Without A Windscreen | Top Gear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bDgNTMGRk0

The ‘B’ stands for ‘Barchetta’. The 95 marks the 95th anniversary of Pininfarina, the fabled Italian design house. But the rest of it might conjure a volley of expletives, especially when you pause to consider what accelerating to 62mph in less than two seconds might feel like in a car with no roof. Oh, it also costs ‘from’ £3.75m, with only 10 slated for production. But what about the design? There’s a fabulous all-new frontal treatment, with minimalist headlights, while losing the roof emphasises the sculptural aspects of the front and rear wings – fenders, if you insist – and body sides. Here, Jack Rix talks to design boss Dave Amantea about what makes this car so special… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WATCH MORE TOP GEAR:

Zenvo Aurora: 1850bhp V12 Quad-Turbo Monster! | Top Gear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLIITHM8sn8

Yes, papa’s got a brand new bag… actually two, because both versions of this new 1850bhp Zenvo Aurora are wild V12 hybrids. Welcome the new Aurora Tur, and Aurora Agil. While they service different ambitions – the former built for long distance road trips, the latter for attacking the track – both are armed with a brand new 6.6-litre quad-turbo V12. Developed by Mahle Powertrain, and able to punch out a cool 1250bhp on its own while revving to 9,800rpm, both versions also get a seven-speed gearbox with an electric motor nestled inside, adding a further 200bhp. In the track-focused Agil that means a rear-drive hypercar with 1450bhp, but in the Aurora Tur, there’s an additional pair of electric motors (one on each front wheel) for four-wheel-drive and the full nutjob 1850bhp and 280mph. So, join TG's Jack Rix at 'The Quail' event on the Monterey Peninsula as we dig a little deeper into Zenvo's mad new hypercar twins. FIRST DRIVE: Lotus Emira With AMG Power! | Top Gear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vZLYjtbWaI

Say hello to Lotus’ entry-level Emira. It uses the same turbocharged 2.0-litre ‘M139’ four-cylinder lunatic of an engine that powers AMG’s hottest hatch. Except, whereas it makes 415bhp in the A45 S, here it’s reined in to a sensible 360bhp. But, despite being entry-level, it is not a cheap and cheerful door to Lotus ownership. Right now Lotus will only sell you a kitted out ‘First Edition’ model, and it’s priced from a chunky £81,495. That’s £4,500 less than the adjusted pricing for the V6 ‘First Edition’. It’s gone from dicing with the basic, brilliant Alpine A110 to asking well-seasoned Porsche Cayman GTS 4.0 money. You could buy a BMW M2 manual – or the car that the Emira owes its engine to – and save £10,000. So, is this the Emira to have? Top Gear Magazine’s Ollie Kew finds out.

FIRST LOOK: Porsche 911 ST – Ultimate 911 with GT3 RS Power | Top Gear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSTw33llAKE

Welcome to the Porsche 911 S/T. Designed by Porsche as a present to itself on the 60th anniversary of the 911 (there’s 1,963 planned in honour of the birth year), the S/T revives a grand old name from 1969 when a 911 S was sprinkled with a touch of motorsport fairy dust to become the S/T – a fearsome competition car that did without the aid of big wings and hefty aero. A kind of beautiful Frankenstein’s monster, the S/T was a competition car, but not prolific. The modern S/T follows the same path, though with much more modern vim. Mounted in the back is the naturally-aspirated, 521bhp 4-litre boxer from the GT3 RS coupled to that short-ratio manual (with shorter cogs than a GT3). There are no big wings bar a short Gurney flap on the electric rear spoiler, which itself doesn’t raise quite as high as other 911s. The rear-wheel steer system is ditched to save weight and complexity, and the bonnet, front wings, ‘cage, rear anti-roll bars and shear panel underneath are all carbon fibre. The wheels are centre-lock and magnesium, the glass thinned to shave precious pounds. Even the battery has been on a diet, and now consists of a lightweight race-style lithium-ion unit. Cobble all this together with the slim carbon bucket seats along with weight savings from the powertrain and clutch, and the S/T becomes the lightest production 911. With a kerbweight of 1,380kg, it’s 40kg lighter than a manual GT3 Touring. There are plenty more facts and figures, and who better to show Top Gear magazine’s Tom Ford around the new Super 911 than the man behind it and the boss of Porsche's GT division, Andreas Preuninger.
