We’ve got our hands on a Porsche 911 GT3, a Ferrari 812 Superfast, a Lambo Revuelto & Aventador SVJ, and they’ve all been fitted with Gintani exhausts! This time, not only are we racing them to the quarter-mile, we’re also going to find out which is loudest! But before we do, let’s check out the stats.
Starting with the Porsche, it’s fitted with a 4-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six that produces 500hp and 460Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed PDK, and it weighs just 1,430kg. When new, it cost around £146,000.
The Ferrari 812 is fitted with a 6.5-litre NA V12, and it creates 800hp and 718Nm. It’s fitted with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels, and it weighs 1,744kg. When it, it cost £253,000.
Unlike the Porsche or Ferrari, the Lambos come with all wheel drive. The Revuelto is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 & 3 electric motors, and they combine to put down 1,015hp and 1,062Nm. It’s equipped with an 8-speed dual-clutch, and it weighs in at 1,900kg. As new, it costs £447,000.
The Aventador SVJ also has a 6.5-litre NA V12, and in this case it produces 750hp and 690Nm. It has a 7-speed gearbox, and it tips the scales at 1,600kg. When it was new, it cost £238,000.
So the Revuelto clearly has the most power, but will it be the loudest? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE! So let’s take a closer look at the car. Starting with the design, it looks pretty smart from the front, with new headlights and an updated front grille. Along the side, there are creases to give the car a bit of definition, while at the back the Swift appears unusually wide despite it only being a small car. On the inside, there are quite a lot of scratchy plastics throughout, although it’s no surprise for a car at this price point. That being said, some nice touches remain, like leather on the steering wheel and gear selector. There’s a small infotainment screen in the centre of the dash, while there are (thankfully) some physical buttons for the climate controls. The Swift also comes with analogue dials, which is always nice to see in an age of digital dial screens! When it comes to configuring the car, it’s an easy one, as there are only two trims available and one engine. The Swift is powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 82hp, and it comes with either a 5-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. However, now he’s had the chance to drive it several times, he’s wondering if he was wrong when he gave his last verdict! To put it to the test, we’ve brought together its key competitors – the RS7 Performance and Mercedes-AMG GT 63. So of course, given how powerful these machines are, we need to look at the stats! The BMW M5 is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 and an electric motor, which combine to produce 727hp and 1000Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed auto, weighing a colossal 2,435kg! The RS7 is powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8, and this creates 630hp and 850Nm. This performance is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed auto, and it weighs in at 2,065kg. Then finally we have the AMG. It’s also powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8, which creates 639hp and 900Nm. It’s equipped with a 9-speed auto gearbox, and it tips the scales at 2,135kg. So the BMW clearly has the performance, but of course, it’s not like an owner of this car will be drag racing it daily! With that in mind, not only is Mat going to test their performance, but he’ll also give each car a proper Carwow review. He’ll look into their design, their interiors, and what space is like in the rear, and of course, he’ll take each car for a drive. So will the new BMW come out on top?
