FIRST DRIVE: 1016bhp Ferrari SF90 XX Spider – How Hardcore Can A Cabrio Be?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFvoH4GTBt4

Ferrari’s track-only XX cars are rare, thought to number around 116 in total, spanning Enzo-based FXX, 599XX, and LaFerrari-underpinned FXX-K, plus their uprated Evo variants. But now the XX tag has been applied to Ferrari road cars. Hardcore ones of course, but while the first – the SF90 XX Stradale – is reassuringly expensive and the fastest-ever road car around Ferrari’s Fiorano test circuit, the company will build 799 of them. And, when we drove it in late 2023, it wasn’t quite all we thought a road-going XX should be. You could argue that’s okay. The XX sub-brand has been established – and can now be exploited – while Ferrari’s best clients switch their focus to the £5m 499P Modificata, a derestricted Le Mans car. And yet, there’s now a convertible XX, the new SF90 XX Spider. A sacrilegious step too far, too soon? Top Gear Magazine’s Deputy Editor, Ollie Kew, has been to find out… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WATCH MORE TOP GEAR:

FIRST DRIVE: Pagani Utopia – 864bhp V12 Hypercar Or Art?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WU8R7cR-gKA

Zonda. Huayra. A succinct but epic bloodline for the next Pagani hypercar to follow. And there’s much promise too, for the new Utopia: a twin-turbo, AMG-supplied V12 with 846bhp; a carbo-titanium monocoque; even the option of a manual gearbox… Only 99 will be built, each costing around £2.2m a pop. But is it a piece of automotive art, too delectable to be driven? Can The Tesla Cybertruck Really Off-Road?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSgNA-pWM8w

Can it jump? Rock crawl? Survive the whoops? Conquer the sand dunes? In short, can the Tesla Cybertruck REALLY off-road? Viral videos of it struggling on mild inclines tell us ‘no’. But armed with a Cybertruck featuring Tesla’s latest off-road software update that finally allows you to lock the diffs, we took it – together with a Rivian R1T as a benchmark – to the middle of the Californian desert to find out. Over to Top Gear Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Jack Rix, and Head of Car Testing, Ollie Marriage, to give us all an answer… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WATCH MORE TOP GEAR:

FIRST DRIVE: MG Cyberster – 335bhp, £50k, RWD and Scissor Doors!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbTXrhA5DJ0

Indelibly linked with the MGB sports car of the 1960s and ‘70s, MG is now better known as the purveyor of practical cars at the affordable end of the market. Until now… You’re looking at a sports car that neither Porsche nor Tesla have managed to put into production yet: a two-door open-top with punchy electric power. It’s a halo car for MG, with svelte styling (complete with scissor doors) and single- and dual-motor powertrain options. We’ll likely see Porsche’s forthcoming electric Boxster and the much-delayed Tesla Roadster towards the end of 2024, but production of either won’t start until 2025. Which means, for now, the MG Cyberster has the market all to itself. But what’s it like to drive? To bring you one of the very first reviews in the world, Top Gear Magazine’s Tom Ford has been all the way to China to try it… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WATCH MORE TOP GEAR:

FIRST LOOK: Mercedes EQG – Tank Turns And ALL The Torque

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mE_ZnkOgx8M

This is an electric G-class. The Mercedes EQG, as it was once called. It’s now, officially though, the Mercedes G580 with EQ Technology – which is a name no one will ever use. Either way, a big battery and quad motors turn every celeb’s favourite urban cruiser into an electric heavyweight with zero tailpipe emissions. The G580 name means it sits a rung below the G63 AMG model in the G-class range, but with over 800lb ft over torque and an electric motor for each wheel its party trick is on-the-spot ‘tank turns’. A look-at-me viral # beckons, but does the addition of this all-electric version make for a better Mercedes G-class? Top Gear Magazine’s Deputy Editor, Ollie Kew, is your guide… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WATCH MORE TOP GEAR:

FIRST DRIVE: New Tesla Model 3 Performance – Over 500bhp For £59k!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Srx6VvuKU7c

Range has long been a Tesla forte. Ridiculous acceleration, too. But what about the sort of delectable handling that a BMW M3 serves up? Tesla boss Elon Musk claimed the last Tesla Model 3 Performance was 15% quicker than the equivalent M3, and with better handling – but we’d take the BMW over it for one last lap of a racetrack. Now there’s a new Model 3 Performance though, and Tesla contends it’s much more of a super-saloon than ever before. Over to Top Gear Magazine’s editor-in-chief, Jack Rix, to find out how it stacks up… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear WATCH MORE TOP GEAR:

FIRST DRIVE: Porsche Macan Turbo – As Fast As A 911 GT3!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxc3dzwpQsY

This is Porsche’s most important launch since the Mk1 Cayenne. Why? Because even as a decade-old model at the end of its life, Porsche shifted 87,355 units of its smaller SUV in 2023, just a few hundred shy of the Cayenne. But now the second-gen Macan is going electric, and the buying public hasn’t wholly embraced EVs… Perhaps more challenging still, while the last Macan was priced from £54k to £73k in the UK, the new one starts at £70k and runs up to exactly £95,000 for the range-topping Turbo model (which doesn’t have a turbocharger anywhere near it). Sure, you get more performance, but the last Macan was a (relatively) affordable entry point into practical Porsche ownership; the new one is only £600 cheaper than a Cayenne! So it’s electric, and expensive. Can the tech impress and the dynamics dazzle enough to tempt potential buyers? Top Gear Magazine’s Tom Ford has the answers…
