NEW Lamborghini Revuelto: 1,000bhp V12 Hybrid Aventador Successor | Top Gear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj7ckOaVqxk

Here it is, the long awaited Aventador replacement. It is, inevitably, a plug-in hybrid, but it’s one that takes the possibilities of the format and does wild and wonderful things with it. We’re talking a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12, aided by three electric motors, two of which are mounted on the front axle, the third integrated into the new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. All of that means the Revuelto is good for a total power output of 1,001bhp, a top speed of 217mph and 0-62mph in just 2.5 seconds. Yes, the line between Hypercar and Supercar is well and truly blurred. Top Gear Magazine’s Editor, Jack Rix, gives us the full tour. FIRST DRIVE: Citroen Oli – A Genius Cardboard Concept Car | Top Gear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrFupUJALCY

Meet Oli. Citroen’s latest ‘wouldn’t it be great if’ concept that looks like a moon buggy that the rocket dropped from orbit, but the thinking is deeply down to earth. It tackles the major elephant in the room questions for electric cars, and manufacturing overall. The windscreen is flat because that uses less glass than a curved one. Aero isn’t important in town. What if we’ve gone wrong with supersized lithium-hungry batteries? The Oli’s is just 40kWh. But that’s good enough for 248 miles of range – twice the endurance of a Honda e for only 14 per cent more capacity – because it weighs half a tonne less. The Oli comes in at only 1,000kg, thanks to less soundproofing (EVs are already quiet), and a roof, bonnet and truck bed made from polyurethane-coated cardboard. So it’s waterproof, as strong as steel, but half the mass. And recyclable. It also drives. So join Top Gear Magazine’s Ollie Kew as he talks you around this wacky concept before taking it for a quick spin. World’s CRAZIEST Car Auction | Top Gear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubT1T4XAZoc

We know car auctions. They’re either grotty places populated with car-dealing tyre-kickers looking for stock amongst unloved ex-rental repmobiles, or they’re ultra-exclusive, sip-champagne-on-immaculate-lawn events where exotic specimens (both cars and people) preen glossily and desire to be admired for their good taste and breeding.
Barrett-Jackson is what happens when the two are combined and tossed in a blender with a good helping of American showmanship, pizzazz, noise, energy, dodgy artwork, hype, scale, speedboats, dust, liquor, excitement and people. Oh, and the Blue Origin space capsule. It’s effervescent and weirdly, oddly captivating. Special thanks to Barrett-Jackson for supplying auction footage. NEW Ford Explorer: Bye-bye Focus And Fiesta, This Is The Future Of Ford | Top Gear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWUFNAyWNZ0

Ford wants you to rethink what that Blue Oval badge means, in Europe at least. No more small hatchbacks like the Fiesta and the Focus. The plan is to build fewer cars, sell them at bigger profits, and double down on what Ford thinks sets it apart. Chiefly, being American. So future Fords will look more land-of-the-free, and they’ll be themed more around adventurous outdoorsyness than school-run buses. This brings us to an all-new Ford family hatchback: the Explorer. It’s a medium-sized all-electric crossover with five seats, a big square boot, and a chunky-but-friendly look about it. It’ll go on sale later this year with prices starting at less than £40,000, which slots it neatly between the current hybrid Kuga and the all-electric Mustang Mach-E. So, the question is whether Ford’s bold new unashamedly American-looking strategy will pay off everywhere else. Top Gear Magazine’s Senior Road Test Editor, Ollie Kew, takes a closer look.
