McLaren Artura review with 0-60mph, 1/4-mile & drift TEST!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vaGNhqWkPw

Meet the McLaren Artura! It’s McLaren’s first hybrid supercar, and Mat’s got his hands on one to find out whether it has what it takes to compete with hybrid supercar class-leaders like the Ferrari 296 GTB! So for starters, let’s check out the design. One thing’s for sure, it’s certainly a looker! Around the back you’ll find an integrated spoiler, two huge (and real!) exhaust tips and a metal cover for the engine. Around the side you’ll find some huge (and real) air vents, and up front there’s a huge front splitter and a smart set of headlights. It’s possible to swap the front splitter and rear diffuser to be made out of carbon fibre (for an extra cost), and there’s a choice of 15 colours to choose from. Pop inside and the Arturo’s design is minimalist but impeccably well made. You sit in Alcantara-covered bucket seats that can be adjusted forwards, back, up and down, and there’s Alcantara across the dash too. It also covered the steering wheel, which in traditional McLaren style is kept simple without any integrated buttons. There’s a new infotainment system and set of digital dials, and it works pretty intuitively with settings and features shown across both screens. It may be relatively basic, but it does the job it needs to do. Then we have the glorious engine! Hidden under the cover around the rear you’ll find a 3-litre twin-turbo V6 that can deliver 585hp. There’s also an electric motor hidden under the skin, which combines with the engine to produce 680hp and 720Nm of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels only, and is good for 0-60mph in 3 seconds and a top speed of 205mph! So it’s an impressive specimen, but with prices starting from just under £190,000, is it really worth it?! You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself! Chapters

The NEW Mercedes AMG | Vision One-Eleven | The Future

Paypal Account: sdmr_@hotmail.com The name pays homage to the company's past experimental C111 prototypes, and the car itself hints at what to expect from future electric Mercedes performance cars. The Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven is a futuristic concept with a design inspired by the classic C111 prototypes.
The One-Eleven packs an axial-flux electric motor that Mercedes says is lighter and more compact than equally powerful radial-flux motors used in today's EVs.
The cabin features an unusual LED pixel dashboard, an unorthodox rectangular steering wheel, and flashy silver seats. The Mercedes-Benz C111 prototypes of the '60s and '70s served as test beds for emerging powertrain technologies, fitted with an array of turbo-diesel and Wankel rotary engines. Now, as the automotive industry shifts away from combustion engines towards electric power, Mercedes has unveiled the Vision One-Eleven concept, which like its forebear, acts as a predictor for the how the brand will adapt to changing automotive landscape. The Vision One-Eleven's sleek supercar looks are clearly inspired by the original C111 prototype, painted a vibrant shade of orange and fitted with dramatic gullwing doors. The concept's silhouette features one line running in a shallow curve from front to rear, echoing the cab-forward aerodynamic designs of Mercedes's current EV offerings like the EQS and EQE. At its peak the roof measures just 46 inches tall, and the design is grounded by chunky black side skirts, a front splitter, and a cavernous rear diffuser with blue backlighting. Mercedes says this makes the One-Eleven look like it is "fused with the road surface," and it also references the C111's black accents. Instead of a grille, the One-Eleven's front end features an oval panel with pixelated LEDs that mimic the C111's fog lights and can also display messages to pedestrians and other drivers. A similar panel is found on the rear end and a similar pixelated pattern appears on the opaque windows, a feature we've seen on other Mercedes concepts like the Vision AMG. The intricate design of the massive wheels is meant to emulate the windings inside of electric motors. Motor and Battery Details Powering the One-Eleven concept is an axial-flux motor that Mercedes vaguely describes as "exceptionally powerful" and is built by a British battery company called YASA that the automaker completely purchased in 2021. Mercedes says this technology is being developed for its next generation of EVs, explaining that axial-flux motors weigh one-third as much as an equally powerful radial-flux unit, the motors currently used by most EVs. It also takes up one-third the amount of space. The battery is composed of "liquid-cooled cylindrical cells with a novel cell chemistry" that Mercedes says drew on learnings from Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrain, which is responsible for the power units in the company's Formula 1 racers. While the Vision One-Eleven certainly isn't bound for production, the snazzy design should inspire future Mercedes cars, and we expect the axial-flux motors to find their way into the brand's EVs within the next several years.

Porsche 911 GT3 v GT4 RS: TRACK RACE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnFzksX40Jo

Thanks to RMA Track Days for making this video possible: https://www.rmatrackdays.com/
Follow Racing Driver Sam on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sammaherloughnan/ Mat and Racing Driver Sam are off on another road trip, and they’re taking a Porsche 911 GT3 & a Porsche Cayman GT4 RS all the way from the UK to Spa Francorchamps to put these track-focused Porsches through their paces! However, they’re not just testing these cars on track, they’ll also be finding out what they’re like to live with day-by-day on their journey over. They’ll be finding out how they compare when driving through town and on a twisty road, while also comparing how comfortable their interiors are and finding out which has the better exhaust note. Not only that, but they’ll also be finding out which has the best boot space and practicality! But of course, the centrepiece of this video will be their performance on the track! And despite them both being Porches, there’s one key thing these cars have in common – they’re both powered by the same engine! As a result, that means they’re both packing a naturally-aspirated 4-litre flat-six that red lines at a glorious 9,000RPM! However, while the GT4 RS can push out 500hp and 450Nm, it’s been dialled up slightly in the GT3, putting down 510hp and 470Nm. Will that slight difference prove the difference on track? Or will the hardcore GT4 RS have the edge? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

Porsche Mission X: The quickest road-legal car in the WORLD!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLpAte75PVE

Meet Porsche’s all-new all-electric hypercar! This is the Mission X. It’s Porsche’s first hypercar since the 918 Spyder, and it’s got some pretty lofty ambitions! Porsche is hoping the Mission X will set the record as the fastest road-legal car to complete a lap on the Nürburgring! So let’s take a closer look at this incredible EV. Starting with the looks, this is easily one of the most subtle hypercars we’ve ever seen. Porsche wants to show that hypercars don’t just have to look aggressive, and can still hit incredible speeds without being plastered in huge aero. Up front, the most notable design feature is the vertical bars that’ll make up the headlights and indicators. Along the side, it’s easy to see how the Mission X has been inspired by the 963 racing car, as it’s very low and very long. Take a step around the back and the rear end is dominated by an absolutely huge diffuser, which will help the Mission X create more downforce than the new GT3 RS! If anything, the interior of the Mission X is wilder than the exterior! The bucket seats look futuristic and properly figure-hugging, while the steering wheel makes Tesla’s yoke look prehistoric, coming plastered with a number of buttons and dials. We’re not so sure about the white handles though – they just scream dirt magnets to us! Thankfully though Porsche has kept up with some traditions – you’ll still find an analogue stopwatch up on the dash! When it comes to performance stats… Well, Porsche hasn’t revealed them yet. But one thing we do know is it’ll have a power-to-weight ratio of 1,000hp per tonne. So all we know is, it’s likely to spill over to around 1,300hp+! But then again, it’ll need to if it’s going to beat the Nürburgring lap record currently held by the AMG ONE! So what do you think – would you pick this over the AMG ONE? And could it beat the Nürburgring lap record? Stick with Mat and take a closer look for yourself! Driving the Mercedes-AMG ONE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FIVA-UhmZQ
