Porsche 911 GT3 RS vs Cayman GT4 RS: Definitive Track Test | Top Gear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7VTR1_7ljY

Porsche has graced us with two incredible RS cars in 2022, and we’re here to find out which is best. The new GT3 RS isn’t just inspired by motorsport, it’s a full-blown race car. The engine is a 4.0-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six revving to 9,000rpm and producing 518bhp. It’s got 860kg of downforce at 177mph and 406kg at 124mph, well over double those of the 991.2 GT3 RS it succeeds. But worry not, this is still not a slow car – 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 184mph. However, if you’ve ever wondered what would happen if Porsche stuffed the stupendous GT3 engine into the back of its mid-engine baby-brother, the Cayman… the GT4 RS is your answer. It’s the most hardcore, powerful and track-hungry Cayman Porsche has ever made. 493bhp, 332lb ft of torque and 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds. The question is, can it give the more expensive GT3 RS a run for its money? Top Gear Magazine’s Jack Rix and Ollie Marriage give us the rundown on track. ROAD TRIP: Land Rover Defender With World’s Most Extreme Caravan | Top Gear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4ssBDQSMWU

Top Gear doesn’t have the rosiest history with caravans. They’re just so dull and ordinary. There they go holding up traffic, dawdling about, being ugly, being tedious, being beige, driving us mad. But then there’s the Bruder EXP-6. God we want one. It has cabin pressurisation, up to 650mm of ground clearance, 600W of solar panels, 33-inch tyres, is mostly bulletproof and thanks to eight shock absorbers and four three-tonne support airbags, can be dropped off a cliff and emerge unscathed. The same does not apply to the contents. Land Rover probably claims as much for the Defender, but if I had to be the contents in one of them and dropped from a great height, it would be the one with a king-size double bed. Far above and beyond the very mortal abilities of a regular caravan, it is a proper survival wagon. So, what are we doing with it? Well, Top Gear Magazine’s Ollie Marriage has a plan: to watch sunset on the longest day of the year, from the place on the British mainland where it sets last. That’s Cape Wrath, the extreme northwest corner of Scotland. But not all goes to plan… Subscribe to Top Gear for more videos: http://bit.ly/SubscribeToTopGear MORE ABOUT TOP GEAR:

Ad Feature: What Audi Learned At Last Year’s Dakar Rally

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRxMF4f6b88

In January 2022 Audi broke new ground. Literally. Not only did the German manufacturer enter the iconic Dakar Rally for the first time, it did it in a pioneering way using a unique and unproven concept. All cars finished. But it didn’t go perfectly – a Dakar hardly ever does. There were navigation issues to contend with, plus problems with the dampers. But the team came together to overcome struggles. Audi Sport, the drivers and a crew of brainy people are currently preparing for the next edition of the famous desert rally in early 2023. Having pushed boundaries and mastered multiple motorsport disciplines, including endurance racing, rallying, DTM, IMSA and Formula E, Audi is thirsty for Dakar success. With the world’s toughest rally kicking off once again in January 2023, you can see in the video above how the team and drivers are preparing and what they learned last year.
